I was prescribed ativan twice daily at noon and 9pm, and paroxetine once daily.
Anyone been helped by meds?

This is important, these situations we find ourselves are often temporary.especially if your situation. Is just temporary
They make it worse and destroy you physically in the process. It's a money making scheme and nothing more.Yes, the doctors that prescribe the meds are helped by the money you contribute to their families when they rip you off. For those actually taking meds however, there is no way you can rely on a drug to "cure" depression. Period.
It's quite fucked up that doctors prescribe benzos to anxious/depressed people knowing they're addictive and the patient will be in worse shape than before they began. They may help when you begin to take them but lm broken by benzos. I would let your hands off this poison.
For slot of people it's in how you take them. Benzos are great at stopping panic, and calming you when you NEED it, other than that, they really are evil.I'm scared to take medication. I've had some good instances where it helped with my anxiety/nausea but I've heard so many stories of how hard it is to just stop taking them so that makes me a bit wary. Especially benzos.
Ativan, or any benzo really, shouldn't be taken for longer than 2-4 weeks, no matter what your doctor says.ativan
Same experience with Paxil. Felt like hell but couldn't cry (or come) which made me feel worse. How is that helpful? That was a shitty psychiatrist, prescribing you a benzo twice a day?
And paxil is shit, im currently taking it and still suicidal, it just makes it so i cant cry.
The only time i didn't feel like shit was when i went tanning often. So if you really want to recover, get your vitamin d checked, take magnesium and get lots of sun.
I've been on medication since I was around 7. The only pills that ever really "helped" me are the ones that I am current talking - Xanax, Propranolol, and Paxil. But no medication is gonna "fix" you. At best it will only take a slight edge off. Plus meds work differently on different people. What may take a slight edge off for you may make things worse for me and visa versa. I wish you the best of luck.
I'm so sorry, lol.Went to a psychiatrist today
Hi, @BurningLights, I wanted to ask you about stopping Prozac: a feat I would also like to accomplish. In another of your posts, I think I recall your writing that you did not need to taper with Prozac. Is that true? If so, I am also curious about the possibility of doing that, too. Wondered if you could tell me more about your experience with this.I took myself of Prozac when I realised that taking them made my depression worse.
They basically done their job,
