Ways to have a 50/50 chance?

I know it sounds crazy but I want to die but I'm too scared. Is there something I could do that I could cut an artery and go to sleep not knowing if I'll wake up or not? I feel like that'd be easier to go through with and would work eventually. Any method really. Pills that may or may not work, spots I could cut that may or may not clot in time yk.

Doing such a thing sounds like it would just lead to injuries and damage, attempting anything very unreliable would just lead to more suffering and make existing even more unbearable.

Thinking about a 50/50 chance is a high risk to fail. Failed attempts are not only mentally painful but can also be physically painful. I'd suggest you rethink your plan.

Something like hanging has a 70% fatality rate. Charcoal method is good too.
I'd definitely do some research for a more reliable method.

an inert gas setup where it could either be pumping air or pure helium into your mask. I've considered building such a setup.

Hmmm- I'm curious- why do you want a 50/50 chance? Do you want fate to dictate whether you live or die? Fate already has though- you're still alive. But yeah- I think we'd all like to die without being aware of it much. Not sure how many methods there are that allow that. Possibly inert gas. That does sound peaceful. It's just getting all the equipment and storing it without it looking suspicious. Plus- it still sounds kind of scary to me. Sadly- all methods do really- when we don't know 100% what will happen and how much we might suffer.

I say if you're not in it (CTB) all the way, don't be in it at all. I feel that if you're *considering" some 50/50 option, that you most likely still have lingering doubts about CTB (still have hope), and really shouldn't be trying any CTB method until all hope is lost, which may, or may not, ever happen. Just my 2 cents.

There's nothing wrong with being scared. ctb is a decision you can't undo. If you're not completely certain, then like others have said, don't try anything yet— you'll only be risking physical or mental damage if you do.
