Walked out of my first therapy session

I walked out about halfway through, and I'm glad I did. I didn't have a consult with them, just jumped right into the first session, which I realize now was a mistake. I spoke of one of the most important issues I'm facing, and the therapist seemed to have no clue about it. I'd rather not speak of it, but I'd say it's a common enough issue that she should have known at least a bit. So, I left. It's been about a week, and I've already found someone else and had a consult with them.

I am feeling hopeful, which is such a rare feeling that it took me a while to recognize it. I've thought I would kill myself ever since I was 12 so it's tough trying to change my mind about it. Maybe I still will someday. I'm here for now despite everything.

that's absolutely amazing!!! never lose sight of that hope. you will most definitely actualize welnness. despite everything, you're here!!! and that matters so much. im so glad you've found a better therapist, although tentative still. i believe in you, whatever choice you make on ur path to recovery.
