• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Stupid vent.

Now, after all, I kinda like my job.
I escaped from my neetdom (not gonna lie, sometimes I miss it) thanks to this.
I also like my coworkers, exept for one, or two.
It could have been so much worse, so I feel like I'm very lucky.

But, one of those coworkers is starting to act like a boss.
And is always so upset to me.
It seems that everything I do (or not), is wrong.
Even if I do something that I was told to do! (By that coworker, of course)

Now, I always respected that person, other people know this, because has a lot of experience, but now... Jeez, calm down, wtf?? What have I even done?

I wonder why there was that change.
I mean, we were not "friends" or so, but now it's so awful.
And I know I'm not the best person or cowoker.
But damn, I arrive, I say: "Hello, how are you? How is it going?"
And that person barely response, and starts to say things like orders, sometimes even so stupid.

I know that we can't be liked by everyone, of course (I even wonder how and why other coworkers can find me "friendly", "nice").
But damn, this one is so annoying.
I'll end up giving up if things will turn even worse than this, fuck everything.

I've learned, sometimes it's simply not you! You may simply be that person's beating bag. Perhaps that person sees something in you that he knows of himself🤔 I wouldn't worry about it because it's speaks volumes of his character and not yours. Remember, he's a co-worker, just continue to say hi and bye. It's not your job to figure out why his personality changed.

I always tell anyone that I can. This is the holiday season and the highest suicide rate right now. You never know what people bring to work, what challenges they are facing. Try not to take it personal. Continue doing what you been doing and ignore him. I'm sure if you guys had a conversation, he probably has a list of personal problems!

Well, I "care" because I have to spend all the time at work only with that person, mainly.
And, day after day, it becomed a bit "frustrating".

At the beginning, I listened what I was told, trying to get better. But then, I kinda "gave up" when I saw that everything I did was still wrong, even when I listened (as I said)

I know that people who have problems can act that way, still I don't get why it's only on me.
(Plus, I think we can all agree, is not a good reason to treat other people, who have nothing to do with your problems, badly).

I definitely agree he has no right to treat you like that. I apologize if I offended you.
I didn't know you 2 worked so closely together, seems avoiding him is impossible.
They say perception is reality, so if you feel he has changed, then he has. Do you feel comfortable pulling him to the side and sharing how you feel and how he's impacted your work experience? Maybe he isn't aware his behavior has drastically changed. I'm not making excuses for him but sometimes you have to pull back the layers to understand someone.
It's unfortunate that you already have so much to deal with, only to get up and try to work a day be treated like this. It's always a wise idea to keep notes on stuff like this in case it escalates and you have to inform HR. Hopefully, a chat with him will solve this.

I know you didn't want to offend, no need to apologize!

I thought about asking if something happened, or something, but... I don't know.
And I don't think I ever seen a real HR here lol.
I might talk to someone, sure, but honestly I don't see how it can work.
For sure, it'll be better to talk directly to that person.

I suggest you have a conversation with him. I wouldn't be shocked if his life is chaotic right now.

Nobody knows HR until it's too late lol

What kind of job is it if you don't mind me asking?

Well in that case trying to talk some sense into some salty person isn't going to get you anywhere. You're better off informing your manager and if at all possible moved to some different department. If you can don't even listen to them especially if they're not a manager.

Most of the time these people really are shitty and aren't goong through anything. It might work like that in school but not beyond that.

I work in a cinema
is there any manager or something you could report him to? there's no reason to be picked on by someone and let it affect you. he's doing it because he's insecure himself. it's like fighting back without having to put forth much effort and i promise it feels great.
