So a couple months ago I decided to get hormone replacement as a last ditch effort to help myself be more functional. Honestly I had no idea what to expect but mostly I just hoped to feel better. Let me tell u guys that it has been extremely helpful. If I had not gotten this I might be dead by now. I still suffer with suicidal ideation and intense emotional discomfort at times but it has taken the edge off.

I have become a lot more functional cognitively and my motivation and energy is back. You can find places that do this for about 300 every few months so if u are suffering a lot with depression and other health issues I would look into this if u can. It's worth every penny. Man or woman and not just if u are older. You could have hormone problems even young and not realize it.

I suddenly am able to concentrate enough to attempt a normal job. So this is my goal right now is to try to reduce the sex work and get into formal work. I also feel Im more aware of my toxic situations that I've been involved in with people. It's not that I wasn't aware but I'm more able to let go of people who are not helpful for me.

I'm really noticing my codependency issues so much more. The rebalancing of your hormones helps u notice things that u were in a fog about. Anyway I thought I would share the new developments. I don't feel it has helped me at all with borderline personality disorder or addiction but it has certainly improved my functioning. I'll need other help with that other stuff.

Hormones can be weird things and when out of sorts can cause all sorts of physical and mental/emotional problems in so many ways. I am so pleased to hear that things have improved for you and hope that they will continue to do so

Is this testosterone? I'm considering getting tested for low t, as I've read it can be linked to social anxiety

Yes I'm also getting testosterone. Low testosterone makes it harder to assert yourself, u will feel more shy and anxious. Having those traits doesn't necessarily mean u need testosterone but it could be an underlying reason. I did notice I felt more depressed, fatigued, brain fog before the testosterone kicked in. Its something to check for if u are experiencing cognitive impairment and brain fog. My testosterone was only at a level 14 and they said I should be at 150 so no wonder I felt like shit. At a regular doctor clinic they will try to hook u on ADD meds instead of looking at hormones first. Being dependent on speed sucks I don't wish it on anyone. If u use the stimulant meds long enough u will have difficulty ever coming off. It can take some years for your brain to fully recover after longterm dependence on Ritalin, Dexidrine, adderall, vyvanse, any of these.

Thank you for responding. I just ordered an at-home test. I had never even considered that hormones could be an issue, until I stumbled on an article yesterday.
I'm probably grasping at straws hoping this is my issue lol, but worth checking out!

Yea unfortunately most medical care that is offered to us is called allopathic medicine. Meaning that most doctors now actually can cause more harm than solving your problem and actually curing u. Allopathic medicine only treats symptoms but they are not focused on cure or looking deeper, like diet, lifestyle, relationships, or anything else in the environment that might make u sick. They just push pills and procedures that are often uneccessary or u end with no choice because they allowed u to reach the point of needing surgery.
