i went out to a public place after several months of social isolation and noticed how everyone dressed and looks the same. i found it very jarring. it served as a reminder of how i will never find a place in this existence because i dont belong. i try to dress and find myself but i feel weird and awkward. i stand out more and become an eyesore. or conform to the mindless masses. i cannot find peace being perceived because i fear what the conformed will see me as. i fear becoming them too- dressing in their same manner. yet i feel awkward if i dont blend in.

most people you'll see in public are drones. completely docile and ignorant to how life really is. they all dress the same and act even similar. even those who stick out, once you get to know them, are really just as unbearable. everything you do should be an expression of self, including how you dress. embrace their judgmental gaze and be glad you'll never be "one of them."Similar threads
