hello.

i was wondering what the potential issues are when ordering sn off the internet from abroad.

will i 100% be visited by the police for a wellness check? :/

i didn't get a wellness check back when i purchased it online in 2023.

Welfare checks do happen, but it's often used as a scare tactic by media agencies to stop people buying. People often read this and share it everywhere. An example of this was in the BBC documentary. They mentioned there was a welfare check although there was no inspection or opening of the package.

The parcel doesn't come labelled as SN, and instead as something totally different. The only physical way for customs to know it was SN is to have it tested. So customs have to, find at random, stop, open, inspect, and test a 50g pouch of a salt like substance labeled as something different. They aren't doing that for every compound that enters the country…..

They can't check every parcel that comes through customs, and they simply don't. But they are aware of it coming in. I order a lot so unfortunately it has happened to me. It was no biggie though and the police were pretty clueless, i just thought of some random excuse and it was left as that. No issue

They probably will. It's only the likes of DSL etc that won't. Someone acting beyond their legal capacity

I suspect it depends if they are aware of a source. Pretty much all of us who ordered from IC ended up with a check. So, it likely depends on whether they have or get enough to arrest a person and what records they can get hold of. I imagine they likely look out for certain postal address origins too. It seems much harder in the UK now. I also think a lot of the labs want proof they are sending out to businesses.

One of the big reason that the source that uses encryption is good, even if they get busted your info would be safe.

I guess they can sometimes trace people via the payment method though. Unless they use crypto or whatever.

I got a welfare check. Apparently they got the list of buyers from the supplier. I had got the package and it had been a few weeks so I didn't expect them to come. They were pretty aggressive and it was like 4 am or something awful.

The suggestion of a list of buyers is completely made up. The supplier is trusted. The welfare check was either random or after intel from customs
What do they say exactly?
They only ask, why you have ordered it and make sure you are not living In squalor or at risk of harm to yourself. When it happened to me, they had no idea what they were talking about.

You sound like maybe you are the seller based on your post history to be honest?

Why can't there be a list of buyers, this check weeks after delivery suggests there is a list, if they came up with this persons details weeks after the purchase then the process for this person likely uncovered other buyers, hence a list. They could be monitoring the seller's bank or postal account or other patterns such as details on export customs declarations.

I'm definitely not a seller, I just speak to him a lot and have ordered enough times to know that information isn't being given to authorities. I have worked with the moderators and have shown proof of this. It's unusual how months on from purchase there was no welfare check at my address.

I can also guarantee that the postal account of DMC is not being tracked. Anyone who has ordered multiple times without issue will know this. You also mention tracking of the bank account, do you know how lengthy this process is, I fear not….

Customs declarations are also ever changing and Ukrainian authorities also do not care enough clearly, hence the lack of collaboration amidst outcry's from the UK. I imagine they have other things to worry about…..

If you haven't bought from this seller and have no idea what you are talking about, there is no need to spread misinformation. Customs have been informed to be on the lookout for SN, it's not rocket science that some get found every now and then.

This persons SN wasn't found by customs .....

You're naive if you think it's a lengthy process for authorities to monitor a bank account or periodically request data, Ukraine is part of Europol, there's close cooperation as I know from my job. Ukrainian police officers routinely get seconded to European locations for efficiency.

It's also trivial for them to monitor the website, especially since it's hosted in Europe, and not only that, it's in France which has the most over reaching law enforcement for cybercrime that I'm aware of in Europe. Maybe you were okay because you ordered on WhatsApp?

This person only bought a few weeks ago, so it could be a new development but it's suspicious to me that you're so quick to discount it all, or you're being naive.

The seller has other very poor practices as well that would or could allow law enforcement to identify buyers if they wanted to, additionally the affinity of the data could be why you didn't receive a visit and they did for example.

Even if it's not a priority for the Ukrainian authorities it is for British who can request data in a matter of minutes in some cases.

Additionally you said you ordered to a mail room, so how do you know the police didn't try to find you ...

I Have ordered multiple times, twice to my Actual address, two different addresses. My last order to the mail room was only a month ago. If police wanted to find me, they could, and have before.

Your points are all valid, but there isn't much to suggest this with DMC. The abnormal ordering process and obscure payment methods mildly mask the identity of buyers completely. I appreciate I was being naive.

I have noticed that my initial message was to a response unrelated to DMC, so that is my mistake. I usually comment on threads with DMC mentioned so must have just assumed that it was. That is my mistake. Potentially it wasn't even them at all.

While I'm really glad that you've had positive experiences with DMC, claiming something as true with only anecdotal evidence despite countless other user accounts to suggest otherwise doesn't mean that everyone will have the same experience you had and could potentially give others a false sense of hope.

I've had mine seized before, so I am not trying to instill a false sense of hope. I guess it's just luck of the draw.

It mag be biased, but I was more trying to reinforce the trustworthiness of DMC, despite his flaws. Tighter UK customs is the main cause of Controversy, not DMC himself
