Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

In recent years, the UK has been doubling down again and again with its authoritarianism, to the point that it's frightening to have non-mainstream views while living in the country. The UK has almost the most surveillance cameras per person in the world, and the police has a special elite division monitoring social media posts for anti-government views. The online safety act is one of the most anti-freedom internet acts in the world, and is heavily supported by the two major political parties with no real discussion, with the government now looking to implement social media bans and VPN bans. The police are tormenting people with welfare checks and shutting down protests instead of solving crime. Many people are now in prison for years because of individual social media posts. Living in the UK is increasingly like living in an authoritarian country, not knowing what the police know about you or when they're going to knock on your door.

I wouldn't like to live in UK neither. It was a beautiful country but what I see in social medias about UK makes me angry.
In France we have this problem too with our crazy president... Remember the "yellow vests" protests. Some people have lost their eyes / arms because of police repression. "Liberté égalité fraternité" are just words. Europeans countries are becoming third world and USSR if it continues like this...
Thanks for talking about it. It's a very huge problem all around the world. No wonder that suicide rate is so high...

I agree. Criticise certain people and your life is over.
The place has no worthwhile future and is heading for something horrible. I also believe that certain powerful elements are trying to incite the population into serious civil unrest against certain other communities.
They have been trying every summer and we have another one on the horizon and they'll be trying again.
