I feel like I'd be a dick if I didn't work the rest of my two weeks. Even though I'm trying to enjoy the time I have left, I really feel like it'd be really rude to not send in a two weeks and hold to it, and that would still leave me a week of time to do whatever I wanted before my last day. But also my awful bitch of a coworker screwed me out of my Christmas Eve off and the rest of my off days next week (I only get one) so like if I just quit and walked out today I'd have 22 days of me time to see the world and appreciate the things I'll never see again, plus my awful coworker would them have to work all of my days next week. My bosses have been really good to me but this one girl makes working this job so hard.

anyways am I an asshole if I just cbt without quitting my job first?

a) There is no ethical requirement to quit employment before a person commits suicide. Never came across a philosopher who pointed this out. Death serves as the termination letter to the employer. People often quit work abruptly, even presidents of a country and CEO resign without notice.
b) There is no legal clause in any employment contract that prohibits an employee from killing himself while being employed. The law doesn't apply to dead people anyways.

Let's say you quit work before you try to quit life. If you fail to die, then you have no job but you have life. Out of job but not out of life is an unpleasant experience for most people. You are very thoughtful towards your employer though and that makes me wonder if you are thinking of the following as well:
1) Have you thought of the people who would be disposing off your personal belongings after you die? Your dirty laundry, your worn out shoes, the rotting vegetables in your fridge etc.
2) Have you thought about the pathologist who would be performing the autopsy on your cadaver?
3) Have you considered the feelings of the people who would be cremating or burying you?
4) Have you notified your landlord? If you own a house, have you notified your mortgagee, your insurance agent, your internet service provider, your cell phone service provider or the post office? If you live at your parent's house, have you notified your family?
5) Have you thought of all the people whom you owe... whether it is money or love?

My friend, I am slightly at unease seeing your very casual and insouciant approach to suicide. The morality involved in choosing one's death over one's life is so critical that ruination of your employment is inconsequential. If you are bothered by these concerns that you are having, then may be you can re-evaluate the graveness and finality of death and your need or desire to die. I hope you will choose what's best for you in the long run.

Have you handed in your notice yet ?
If not, then as @ThingWithFeathers says, it might be better to not quit your job, in case anything goes wrong with your attempt, and you find you still need the job.

Note : As always, please note that I strongly encourage you to seek help with whatever is troubling you. With the right help things can improve. There are many sources of help if you look and reach out. Please seek assistance in any and every way possible. You alone must decide upon your actions and take full responsibility for them, and you should always favour seeking help and keeping out of harm's way.

Boy, you know we live in a messed up society when it's so ingrained in people that their job must come first, they'll even prioritize it over spending their last days in peace.

While I think it's worth consideration to keep the job as a backup just in case you're still alive at the end of your time frame, if it's just a question of ethics or morality, then the answer is a very resounding NO.

Whoever thinks you're an asshole for not working 2 more weeks is an asshole. Who the hell are they to decide how you should live? If not working for your last 2 weeks makes someone dislike you, that person in my opinion is not at all likeable themself. Which is the greater of two evils - you disappointing someone by making their horrible job less convenient, or life disappointing you by being brutal, unrelenting and unbearable?

Call in sick. Get a doctors note. Even better get one from your psych if you have one. With all the mental health awareness BS going on in the world your employer would not want to come across as insensitive. Live it up for 2 weeks. And if you dont decide to die the job is still there. But if you do decide to go, you reserved your spot and still have the chance to live out your last days as you wish without worries.

Agreed. Short term disability, paid medical leave of absence are the way to go here. All bases covered.

Don't worry about the job!!! Although good on you for being so considerate. But you're about to CTB soon!!!!! Please don't let a stupid regular 9 to 5 job ruin even your final moments. The absolute worst that can happen is your co-worker or boss need to work some extra shifts. That is all. Its not like your co-worker isn't getting paid or anything. Take it as your co-worker now earning extra money. Especially for your boss, it is part of their basic responsibility to go through at least some risks for running a business, and covering shifts is really not that much of a huge problem at all. Shit happens. There could be lots of other things that could be many times worst for them as a business owner. As a business owner, they should have backup and emergency plans in-place, if not, then its a fail on their part. It is not all your responsibility. Its not your company in the end. You are not here doing charity work. Its a fair trade. You show up for work, and they pay you money. Now that you don't show up for work, they don't pay you the money. This is really nothing, compared to what you are going through. Its not like they assigned you a multi-million dollar project during these few weeks, where if you didn't show up the owner will instantly lose millions and become bankrupt overnight or homeless or something. Just think of it as you getting into an unexpected car accident, and are now injured in the hospital, or even some last minute serious sickness, so can't show up to work. But instead, your case is even more serious. You are about to die now!!! That is even more serious than cancer. It is time to finally WORRY and CARE about yourself for once. The fact that you are still concerned about them during a time like this, deep down, you have already more than truly done your part, whether they realize it or not. There is no perfect in the end. You should instead be proud of your kind heart. Just send them a last minute message/ email/ voicemail and make up a lie about an unexpected emergency of some sort, and don't show up to waste your final precious moments being a slave. They will replace you without hesitation shortly after anyways. Your boss is here to make money at the end of the day, and money has no feelings. All the best to you!!!

The coroner and undertakers are already in that line of work, they already have to look at dead people

Your landlord and everything get paid eitherway

Appreciate this list and attention to finalities.

Maybe a miracle in recovery occurs, and it doesn't come to this for me.

However, I am blessed with guides for getting things in place to be as easy as can be in case of ctb.
