• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I recommend not reading this if you are sensitive to SA topics, etc.

Am I alone when I say one of the reasons I don't want to be alive is because of how scary the world we live in is?
I came across a reel on instagram that has made me quite disgusted and disturbed. It was of a granny saying "I wonder why they get r*ped" to a girl in her 20s because of the clothes she was wearing 🤦 (For everyone's information search "clothes from r*pe victims" and you'll see clothes have nothing to do with anything someone does to you) Now even though what she said is disgusting in its own sense. The comments is what had me stunned. Many MANY men were saying "Granny's right, w granny" or "she's not wrong, walk around with money hanging out of your pocket and someone's gonna snatch it" or "If women didn't wear such clothes then people wouldn't r*pe them" I checked all of the accounts I saw that commented such awful things and they all happened to be MEN! What's even worse is some of their accounts showed that they had a family…kids, wives. Now that's only some of the awful and mindless things some of these men said, trust me there was worse. Now I'll be honest some of those comments might be troll comments to make people pissed- however in saying that. 1- It doesn't make it right. 2- Most of them probably weren't "joking". Now if you didn't get mad or even disgusted at the comments I shared with you. Then leave because that shows me that you're small minded and have no sympathy.
Anyway I went to go talk to my brother about it knowing that he is a decent human being- however I'm slightly thinking otherwise at the moment. He's response is why I'm double thinking it. He said "women rape things too, animals, etc" my first thought was "Where? Where the reports." (In saying that I know there are many reports but not enough to make women more dangerous then men) I think I was just stunned in the fact that he straight up said "women do those things too" like yes I know they do but that's not what I was talking to him about, which is why I was stunned-
Now in no way am I saying women don't do awful things too, however in saying that the percentage of women doing awful things like that compared to men are ATROCIOUS. I'm so for real when I say "not all men but always men" and I stand by that. (I saw this as I experienced something in my past and he's response was "I'm autistic" he didn't take accountability or apologise. He did years later but that's not my point)
I mean ffs men never take accountability for themselves, there are more reports everyday of men r*ping women, men, kids, animals, items and even deceased things. Like how does that not open the eyes of people. The world in my opinion and from what I see daily, whether it's on the news or face to face, is a down right awful place. A place I'd rather not live in. Sure there are beautiful things that should want to make me live for but the bad things definitely over way that. In saying all this, I don't wish to live along side such disgusting human beings. I know this post was targeted towards men however in my overall opinion, humans are all and all monsters, men and women.
Am I the only one who wants to die because of the world we live in? I'm not saying it's my main reason, I'm not even saying it's in my top 10 reasons however it's definitely something that crosses my mind a lot when I think about why I want to ctb in the first place. Do you?

Rape isn't even about sex. It's about power and control.

Unfortunately, that older woman would've been taught that, so that is why her mindset is still the same, and she hasn't educated herself over the years, because she believed what she was taught.

When a rape victim goes to court, her sexual history etc gets looked into. Wtf. Bet if that was a man, it would be different. I once watched a video of a court hearing and the JUDGE mentioned the victim wearing a thong, so therefore she 'wanted it'. Wtf. Men always get away with it.

Men CAN help themselves, they decide not to, because to them we are merely objects, nothing else. And the longer society continues the way it is, in accepting this bullshit, it'll never ever change, and the abuse we suffer will continue. I wish I was safe to walk alone at night or in general. You never know what's going to happen, just because of the pure fact of being a woman.

Women do rape too actually, but usually those closest to them (partner, siblings, kids etc - and strangers, but not as much as men), and it isn't anywhere near as common as men do. I think it's important to remember this, because just because you haven't heard of it, it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. It DOES. Men are less likely to report, because disgustingly so, they are mocked. They are made to feel less of a man, which is disgusting behaviour. Men get raped by women too, please don't forget that.

First off, you do realize that women say the same things, right? This isn't a "man vs woman" issue, rather it's deeper than that. There are a lot of cases of women who victim-blame rape victims. It's quite common actually. Just as how there are cases of men who don't do this type of shit. A proper discussion on this issue can't be held until we also start calling out other women for doing this instead of just focusing on men. I've heard a lot of cases of women who say this shit. Hell, I've heard my mom say shit about stuff like this that borders into victim-blaming territory.

Secondly, in the case of rape and gender statistics, we cannot blindly trust statistics here. Men aren't as likely to report having been raped and, in some parts of the world, due to how rape is defined it makes it so that said men cannot even report what happened to them as rape. In some parts of the world, rape is defined as involving penetration and sometimes is even specified as involving being penetrated by a penis. This means that both male and female victims of rape at the hands of an afab person cannot legally have what happened to them recognized as rape. That's not even getting into the number of times in which I've heard men talk about being raped and groomed by women very casually, not understanding that they were raped and/or groomed. I remember once going through an entire comment of men talking about being raped and SA'd as children by older women and a lot of them refused to even play with the idea that they may have been victims, instead rationalizing the entire thing. It's a disturbing pattern that also extends to other issues, such as emotional and physical domestic violence (I've literally had to watch my dad rationalize his ex-gf's and my ex-stepmother's abuse towards him before). Of course, there is the issue of men using what are other men's serious traumas to brush away women's issues, such as in the case of your brother. Still, I couldn't help but feel the need to mention this anyhow, because women do often do very atrocious things and get away with it.

I completely agree and like I said in no way was I disregarding that women do those things as well. What I was really trying to get at is how belittled women are in situations such as SA, etc. There are so many cases where men don't take accountability or where women get so picked at that they find "evidence" of a women "asking for it" even when in the end, it's not how that works at all. I just find this world in general so disgusting and it seems to be going backwards lately more then ever.

I love that you stated "This isn't a man vs women issue" even after I said that I wasn't saying women don't do awful things such as SA too because it's obvious that they do too. You obviously got agro at the fact that what I said was targeted around men, however from what you said I see you've had your fair share of experience where men haven't been heard out one way or another. Now I'm not "blindly" trusting statistics, however in saying that men put the whole "I can't talk about what happened to me because that's not manly", "Crying isn't for men", etc on themselves, I mean FFS they created that narrative. However the statistics I'm basing what I said around was in the comment section of that video. There was only men saying bad things in the comment section of what I read. In saying that I didn't look through all 15k comments so I'm sure there would of been women in there making situation worse. But from the 30+ I read I can say all of them were men and I'm sure if I kept going I would find out that 80% would of been men. Now when it comes to statistics and real life I base it on my own experience. I can say this with no doubt, wether you like it or not. I only know 2 females in my life who haven't been SA one way or another by a person, man or women. However the only man to in my life to tell me he was 'kidnapped and r*ped" happened to be completely bs. In saying that I believed him and with my full support wanted to get him help if that's what he was searching for. In going through that is how I found out he had lied. If one of my male friends where to come up to me now and say they had been SA'd by someone in no way would I look the other way. I would be there with them for the whole thing. I understand it's not "simple" because you're right most men wouldn't stand up and come out about it. Again in saying that most of the reason behind that is because of male stereotypes, that man have made up. See how it always comes back to men. It says something and in my opinion and experience I think people should be more open about men being most of the issue. Like I stated "Not all men, but always men" where women it's "Not all women, but sometimes women" I think you should always be aware of people despite their gender, humans are one of the only disgusting creatures on this earth. The only parasite big enough to take the world over. Again within saying ALL of this. I have hate for both men and women, humans in general. I don't think the human race can be saved, period.

I know you wasn't, but because of the word we live in, we have to 'include' the men, so I felt the need to add it in.

I have to say, actually, the women that say that shit is because they were BRAINWASHED by MEN to think that way. Yes. Men started that - what was she wearing, she wanted it etc etc. A woman would NEVER say that in a million fucking years, unless she was TAUGHT to think that way from a young age. Girls are taught to be careful of boys/men from being LITTLE. Little. How fucked up is that? Cross your legs, don't bend a certain way, act like a lady. Basically, act like a robot so a man doesn't want to rape you or act so robot-like because you are merely an object, nothing else. Yeah, we're taught young.

Women don't go out of their way to rape men on the fucking street. Men do. Men have the physical strength advantage and it is used against us. We are seen as weak because of it. We are not. We are mentally stronger, that's for sure.

We have to constantly be careful in case a man tries to rape us.

Men don't have to worry about walking down the street at night, because they might get gang raped or some shit by a bunch of women? No.. they are privileged. We are not. We have to always act a certain way, to fit into what men want - fuck that, I'll be myself thanks.

If only men accepted the way they treat us, things would be easier for us. I have never met ONE man in my life, that includes male friends, that do NOT have an issue with controlling women in general. Not ONE. They will say 'I have a control problem' -what they really mean is they have a control problem with WOMEN. I've had it with male friends - they try to control me in ways. Because I am a woman.

Now my post wasn't very coherent, I know. But those comments (from the previous user) really pissed me off. I am human, afterall.

Always gotta protect the men though, eh. And that's when womens rights get forgotten about. What shit..

Men will never take accountability, they will always use an excuse. Always. There is never an excuse for violence against women (rape etc), but they will find one.

I meant to quote the previous person but for some reason, it didn't work.

As a man myself, I recognise how scary it most be for women to live in a world where men commit a majority of these heinous crimes. I have two sisters and I always worry about them. But me and my sisters all share our location live through our phones in case something happens. I don't check it (gps) because I don't wanna break their privacy but it's something I have If ever can't get ahold of them. They can see where I go too. We shouldn't have to do this but the world is not a perfect place.

There's nothing wrong to have that as a reason to wanna cbt, even if it's just a small reason. It's a good reason, but to be honest it not a reason I have for myself. It's gonna sound really fucked up but I try to live my life focusing on me and my family. I try not to concern myself with what happens outside my circle/bubble and therefore don't really have that much care. I still feel disgusted by these actions. But it's something that happens all over the world 24/7 as we speak and I can't save everyone. Me making posts online and sharing won't do anything. But there is one thing I can do and that is to protect my family. So I keep an eye on my sisters. They also carry weapons which is illegal but hey, rather get caught by the cops then raped/murdered. We keep an eye out for each other and that's all I can do. If I witness anything happening to a woman I intervene. But thats the extent I can go, I can't worry about everyone all the time, I have a life and responsibilities of my own to attend to.

I totally agree with everything you said. I've been scrolling through instagram and it got my thinking. I think one of the scariest parts of all of it. Is no matter how many women stand up for each other and try change things. It'll take a man's voice to actually achieve it, a man whose eyes are open enough to see how dark the world really is towards women. It's scary that we most likely will need men on our side to get our point across. We need their voices, because most will only listen to each other. I thank those people that see us💕 but it's scary none the less.

I get it, that on top of seeing terrible stuff my whole life. Seeing people my own age who had better parents, seeing rude mean people with many friends while I had none, on top of what you mentioned here. I think some of it does fall onto women tho, I have seen women defend, date, and marry terrible men. Those women are part of the problem. The issue is nobody wants to stand up and do anything because of backlash. There's not as many good ppl as bad people in this world. Theres kids who get killed and kidnapped all the time, and nobody does anything. In the UK a girl got stabbed and when people were protesting for things to change and the guy to be deported, a bunch of people came out to spread lies about the attacker. People were jumping through hoops to defend a guy who stabbed a child to death. Why would anyone do that? It makes no sense, but to them they just go along with what's the most safe thing to say.
Also this is a random but on topic, it bothers me that many popular religions have misogynistic views too. Some guy said he reported me a week ago bc I criticized izlam. Even on here it's insane I have to deal with these people. They are everywhere 😅
