Trying to watch suicide video on youtube and this comes up?

How can I watch the video and get past this? Every time I click play, this picture comes up and I can't see the video at all.

Have you tried refreshing the page? I've noticed that whenever there is a "problematic" video, it starts off as a blank space where the video should be. After refreshing it, the black screen reappears with the text "The following may contain suicide or self-harm topics" and the button "I understand and wish to proceed." After clicking on the button, the video plays normally. Though, I'm not sure if this applies to YouTube Shorts.

If I saw anything involving animal abuse it would literally traumatise me for a very long time.

If you view it from your PC rather than the phone (phone browser instead of app possibly as well) it will play. Youtube is messed up right now in that they dont have an option to click through those screens while watching shorts but if viewing it normally you will see the option to click through.
