Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I called my local representative (I live in the united states) and asked his opinion on the assisted suicide bill. He was not available so I talked to his secretary and she said he would get back to me. I said I was not in favor of it. I got a letter from him yesterday in rhe mail telling me he is in favor of the bill and making it a crime to help people. He directly referenced the NYT investigation into this furom. He was under the impression that I was in favor of it and thanked me for reaching out. I guess his secretary conveniently left out I was reaching out to him to oppose it

Not sure but i think i read that the forum is not hosted in US so in theory there would be no problem but LE in the US are powerful and could make some deals to try to remove the host, now more than ever this forum needs donations and resources for shielding.

The truth is that no matter what this forum will not last, that is undeniable. But people like that who wish to make it impossible for people to die and want to make others suffer as much as possible disturb me. It isn't like receiving advice on a suicide plan is forcing people to die, and anyway there is nothing wrong with choosing not to delay the inevitable and there never could be. I don't really think that there is any point to contacting those people in the first place but I bet if they ended up in some life situation that made them feel suicidal, then they wouldn't be thinking that way.

That's how they tend to respond to constituent comments about legislation unfortunately, if you hear back at all. Most likely they had already prepared a generic letter explaining their support for the bill, and sent a copy to you because you called in.
