I cannot believe that people like Glenn Greenwald gave him the benefit of the doubt. Some people actually thought Trump is gonna cut the military budget in half. Lmao. Even Greenwald is admitting it now that Trump is full of shit.

Even though the Department of Defense (DoD) has never had an official budget which reached that figure, it remains the actual cost of total US military spending has for several years running actually exceeded $1 trillion.

The DoD budget was never going to get cut in half and whoever believed that needs a drug test. It does need a massive audit and then an assessment of desired capabilities and a budget to those. But the name of the game in DoD spending is to not lose a penny ever and get a bigger piece than anyone else. Look at the Army trying to find a place in a pacific war against China, that's a Navy and Air Force show. Dare to read history and you'll see the same behavior prior to 1941.
