There is another podcast (Episode #9 with Efil Blaise) on The Right To No Longer Exist Channel on YouTube, and this one I believe a lot of people on here can relate to as most, if not almost all the points that he made during the podcast. I certainly believe that the points that he made I could have made as well, albeit just in different words and examples (but the core idea and message would be the same).
I will briefly discuss about the points that resonate with me and what I find to be important, however, for those who wish to watch/listen to the podcast in it's entirety, feel free to do so.
1. (1:00) The religious indoctrination is very damaging. At a young age, I too, started to doubt about those values and the "why" certain things are the way they are.
2. (6:00, 13:00) Parentalism and paternalism are indeed quite disgusting attitudes held by pro-lifers. Even in the current system, there are still too many restrictions and criteria that one has to meet before they even get a "chance" to get the green light.
3. (10:00) No one chose to live by their own accord, no living thing that is alive ever in anytime in history 'chose' to be alive, they simply 'were' (due to actions of others).
4. (13:30) Antinatalism stance which I agree with, some people shouldn't
5. (17:40) Ironically, even pro-lifers understand that once someone has "successfully" CTB, they are no longer suffering and they eventually move on anyhow, but when the person is still alive, it's always wrong to CTB and that their suffering isn't valid. It's very wrong and hypocritical of pro-lifers.
6. (20:00) Life and existence itself is just eventual death over an delayed period of time (could be days, months, years, decades, etc.). Non-existence means there is no death, and there is no problem to begin with because
7. (23:00) Pro-lifers are very similar to religious kooks and instead of using religion to justify life and suffering, they use secular arguments to push their will onto others.
8. (25:30) Zero is a non-negative number, this is really true about the state non-existence, which is death. Pro-lifers see it as negative because death and non-existence is the absence of life, in which pro-lifers view life as a net positive.
9. (31:50) Even death-row inmates have a merciful, at least somewhat peaceful way (lethal injection), that's the irony of pro-lifers, give some heinous criminal a dignified exit, but for those who wish to exit peacefully on their own (non-criminals and convicts), they are denied that choice.
10. (39:45) True point, if a lot of people opt-ed out of society, the system would definitely collapse or at least be heavily damaged.
11. (45:30) Most of these activists are just bandwagoners and while they fight for many other causes, they just don't fight for the most important cause, the right to die.
12. (49:10) Slippery slope arguments made by prolifers have been thoroughly refuted and banning peaceful means doesn't mean that people will stop CTB'ing, they'll just resort to other means (oftenly more violently and uglier deaths).
13. (57:00) Cycle of suffering, life sucks and most pro-lifers are oblivious to it, refuse to acknowledge it, and those who do, ignorantly cling onto the 'positives' of life.
14. (1:01:30) Instead of solving the "problem", pro-lifers keep spewing platitudes and ignoring the reality of suffering as well as respecting others' right to die.
15. (1:02:20) If, you are enough, then your right to die should be respected. Pro-lifers are so inconsistent.
16. (1:03:50) Good point that most people are just going to lead ordinary, boring lives, and most likely going to die natural or painful deaths.
17. (1:09:50) Another good point that pro-lifers aren't sad about the people who die from other causes, out of sight of out mind. So essentially, if pro-lifers have no knowledge of suffering it can't hurt them, yet when they 'know' about someone wanting to exit suffering it bothers, offends them so much.
18. (1:12:50) Ironic how humans even pro-lifers recognize that animals should have a peaceful exit from suffering, but yet another fellow human being shouldn't. Perhaps throughout human history, humans view other sentient organisms are considered property so they aren't viewed as the same or even seen on the same level.
19. (1:15:00) Giving the people the "option" to opt-out of life instead of cornering them or imposing 'life' on them may even help them choose to live. By forcing others to live, gaslight them, or even putting them back to the system of suffering (life itself), they are effectively exacerbating the situation as more people still continue to CTB.
20. (1:19:25) A good reason to check out of life, preventing suffering for one self, preventing potential evil (imagine if all the evil people checked out before they committed atrocious acts).
21. (1:20:15) The sports announcer chose to opt-out of life (Martin Manley I believe is who is being referenced) even if he lived a good life because he knows that the inevitable will come, old age, disease and infirmity, other problems and more. He CTB'd at exactly age 60.
22. (1:23:30) All the suffering in life just ends in death. So by having the right to die, and opt-ing out early, this prevents a lot of unnecessary suffering.
23. (1:25:45) People can't miss or be hurt by something that never happened. Therefore if life never happened, then there could be no suffering.
24. (1:29:00) Pro-lifers dismiss reality by throwing the debby-downer argument, gaslight people by claiming that they are 'depressed' and what not. The optimists are the ones who are in denial and delusional themselves too.
25. (1:31:00) Agreed that pro-lifers are the ones who are in denial and they should see the podcasts as well as Immendham videos to be educated on the philosophy and how reality is for it is.
26. (1:32:50) If there was no problem to begin with, there is nothing to solve.
There are likely more points than the ones I mentioned in this video, but these are the ones that got my attention the most and resonate with me. Perhaps others on here may relate to other points that he made too.
