Venting treatment resistant depression

i hope im not the only one but ive been on ssris and antipsychotics and whatnot for years and have been hospitalised multiple times but i kinda feel like nothing really works on me. i can go days without my meds and not much will change and my psychiatrist recently recommended transcranial magnetic stimulation and i feel so stupid because why do i need a magnet to physically fix my brain????? i dont really know what to do anymore i feel like nothing works

I'm in a similar situation, been through lots of medications and the only two that worked only did so for a few months. I tried TMS this past summer but it didn't work, now trying a TCA combined with Lamictal with fingers crossed. I saw an article recently that said up to half of people with depression may be treatment resistant. The problem with that label is it puts it on us being the reason the medications don't work, rather than admitting the problem is with the medications, themselves. I hope we both find something that works.
