In this article on the page from PPeH, where A's email is indicated, the first address is crossed out. Does anybody know why? Is it already invalid?

I would say 99.9% sure you couldn't buy directly from A. He doesn't even ship inside Mexico.

Buying N in Mexico is not viable anymore. If you have money to spare for bribes you can try but according to natives nobody wants to trade nowadays.

The PPeH has been updated several times since 2016, so that would likely explain the change in email address. Yahoo Mail is inherently insecure and subject to U.S. warrants for user data; ProtonMail is located in an area that can resist such issues.

So I don't think you have a fake PPH – just an older edition. More recent editions can be seen in the Resources thread here on this site.

I second this - it's between $30-$60 according to some sources. Supposedly it's become more challenging in recent times though.

If you don't have a passport, the cost of that, the cost of the plane ticket, the cost of a hotel, and travel within Mexico the bribery cost which is usually $100 not always needed but good to have on hand, and then finally the cost of buying the N at a vet supplier. Keep the pictures handy from the PPEH so you can show these to the vet suppliers.

Aesthler brings up good points. I actually considered this method (hence the name MexicanTravels) but ultimately ordered from A. I will concede that buying in Mexico would be cheaper, but you'd have to be fluent in Spanish and procure a prescription (or make a fake one) to increase your chances at success. I'm sure there are shops in Mexico that would accept bribes, but speaking with Mexican users on this forum, it's slim pickings when it comes to finding a shop that will.

From what others said, I don't think this is a viable plan at all. Too much uncertainty, variables, cost, and risk to all factor in. Also, if you have access to other means, such as inert gases (N2, CO, or Ar) then that would be a better option. It's probably easier just to obtain it from A, though there is always the risk of being intercepted by customs when shipped to your location.

Nope. The email address for A in the quora photoshopped screenshot has never been in any edition of the PPeH. It has been frequently cited as a scam email.

Also funny how in that Quora link they warn of people changing a character in the email etc..yet that screenshot shows "vazquez" with a "z" and I just checked the 2016 PPH and it has "vasquez" with an "s" AND no protonmail address...just the yahoo one. Either I have a fake PPH or someone is being dishonest.

I also have some thought about going to mexico, i don't know for sure but i believe that if you give to some small (not the biggest in town) vet a 500 dollar bribe there is a good chance he will give you , the economy there is not the best...

10 years a go you can get one for 30 dollars without bribe, maybe today a nice bribe will work ...

Much more complicated for sure but very peaceful if you can make it.

For me, only the flight will cost 1000 dollars, i would do it if i have the guaranty but i haven't
