I have searched through some of these threads and haven't really found much on traffic. I was wondering what were people's thoughts on the matter. Jumping in front of oncoming traffic or being in a car crash without a seatbelt. I have thought about who it would affect afterwards. Hurting people in a car crash or hurting people mentally after they hit you. Opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I ran in front of a speeding truck. Not only did I survive but also have to live now with the guilt of probably seriously traumatizing an innocent driver. Car crash will probably just get you seriously injured. A big no.

Not recommended, since it is very unlikely you'll succeed. Also, I imagine it is very hard to actually make the jump in front of the traffic. And while you're on the side of the road gathering the courage needed to jump, there's a chance drivers will see you and alert the police, who could ship you off tome some clinic.

Do you mean with me after the attempt?

yes

I wouldn't recommend it, because it's a very unsafe method, because either you get cought or you have severe injuries.

I would find a different method. The risk of traumatizing innocent people, and ending up just badly injured is too high. I know a guy who attempted to ctb by crashing into a semi-trailer, he is in a wheelchair and needs help with practically everything now. The driver of the truck wasn´t injured, but still, it took over 6 months before he was back at work due to the trauma.

  • Please tell us the story!

So I was standing at the edge of a busy street... and the next thing I know I'm waking up in hospital with about 10 doctors standing around me. I broke my spine and leg and injured my head in a few places but I'm after the surgeries now and will recover fully.

wow do u have a lot of medical bills?

I've thought about disabling the airbags in my car and wrapping it around a tree or hw wall, but the risk of surviving and oweing hundreds of thousands of dollars makes it very unattractive option.

You will traumatise someone quite badly.
I was injured in a traffic accident while cycling 2 years ago. It was his fault mind you, and I only had a shattered femur.
The poor man needed 6 months to be able to drive without anxiety attacks. He still needs counselling. CTB by all means, but keep bystanders out of it
