I'll be using the tourniquet method as a back up and while I did look at tourniquets online, I ended up making mine with the belt of a towel and half of an Ikea bed slat.

I have SN. Tourniquet, to me, is more straightforward and would have less length of suffering. With SN, the reactions can vary wildly compared to tourniquet strangulation.
I think I'll be able to hold down the SN, but it is tempting to go tourniquet.
