Story Tonight did not go as expected

Had prepared my rope last week in a random spot in a forest last week. When I arrived today, my rope was nowhere to be found.

Guess I'll live to see another day...

Maybe for the better? It seems the spot was not so secluded, and someone could have intervened. I suppose you always run this risk, unless it's wildly remote or only accessible through serious effort.

Either that or an animal took it.

I had assumed that spot was secluded enough, the closest path is like 100 meters from there and I have never seen anyone near this place. I don't keep it with me as I don't want to risk someone stumbling on it if they go through my stuff for some reason.
This my first time posting here, thanks for replying. Makes me feel better there's people here that can understand me.
