Today i make an affirmation

The urge to die had been super strong lately...today was gonna be my date but I delayed it due to my mom's bday...I really dont want to die before I'm 25 but I feel very empty and very tempted.

Today I affirm until I am 25 I will blindly throw myself into work, duties, goals, achievments....that will be my only driving force. I can't deal with this feeling anymore so I won't I'm going to stop thinking and just do and hopefully I'll survive till I'm 25. I've made a list of goals I hope to achieve (it has 16 items) ima blindly throw myself into that...just writing this here to convince and encourage myself more

I think doing that can help you to cope.
I'm trying that, telling myself I'll keep going for ten years. By then my parents will have died. My grandsons will be adults. If I'm having a good spell it helps enormously. When I'm down it helps a little.

Having a future ctb date is a good thing because it helps lessen the feelings of hopelessness, and gives me a sense of comfort knowing that my suffering will be over soon.

Yeah I've honestly decided to stop thinking...whenever i feel down or suicidal I just switch off and study or work towards my goal or pick up work. It's only been like a day but its going ok...just 6 more years to go
