Tired of hearing the words, "It's just your personality." in response to my declaration that I've never had a partner.

I only bring this up as often as I'm asked in real life, but I've been asked a lot more since Valentine's Day just passed. I hate when people ask me this because it just reminds me of how I'll never get to experience the things other people get to experience. I also genuinely try not to make it awkward for others, but when people press me for why I've never dated I just tell them I'm ugly. However everyone tells me immediately that I'm not ugly and should work on my personality like the toxicly positive people they are. I really would like to know if anyone has a good response to this because I have tried quite a lot to work on myself and put myself out there, but I'm just not sexually attractive and am more suited to just be friends. I just want people to leave me alone and stop giving me unsolicited advice.

You can try to be honest and polite and just say that you don't really want to discuss that topic or that it bothers you when they ask that. I also firmly believe that there's someone for everyone, finding that someone can be hard though. I know some truly «special», not special in a good way, people who somehow found several partners and even had the ability to cheat on them or me. How, is beyond me, but it proved to me over and over again that there's hope for everyone romantically and sexually because people like different things.

That's fair, I honestly probably won't stop trying I just seriously have my doubts that I'm cut out for dating in any way shape or form.

Casual dating doesn't work for me, I only date or do relationship with people I'm already friends with, it's easier for me and less awkward or forced.
