• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

I thinks it's finally time to ctb. I've already attempted 3 times, with each time unfortunately/fortunately not successful, I chickened out of the methods I tried (Hanging, Falling from height and cutting) as my SI kicked in immediately. So now it's time for a hopefully successful attempt using SN and I'm simply looking for some guidance for a protocol, my rough outline is:

12pm- start solids fast (10 hours)
7pm - start liquids fast (3 hours)
9:15pm- Paracetamol (3x 500mg)
9:50pm - prepare 25mg SN + 50ml of water (3x) and take anti emetic to prevent vomiting
10pm- Take first dose, then second if vomiting does still occur and then third if needed
After 10pm I'm hopefully not here

My main concern is, are there any potential drawbacks to SN, can it fail?

And is it known if it hurts, do you just "fall asleep"

Otherwise, any notes?

I'm a bit wary of this method in general after seeing a lot of the posts on here from ppl who have had problems with it. Is there any reason you don't just use a gun?

Not that easy to get, where I live I have to get training and then only apply for the licence and then wait a few months for it and THEN only get the gun and if my parents already know I'm at risk of suicide, there's no way they'd let me do that. I am planning on going to Florida soon to see my sibling but I don't think they'd be willing to sell a gun to a foreigner

Damn that's crazy it's so hard to get one. Yeah gun laws here in the south are fairly relaxed but I believe you're right about non citizens being unable to buy them. I can't get them now because I'm a felon, so I'm leaning more towards inter gas bag. They sell fairly good size nitrous oxide tanks at smoke shops here now and that seems like a fairly pleasant way to end.

SN is deadly. You seem to be following the protocol. The amount recommended is WAY MORE than the lethal amount, but only because so much of what you take will end up in your system, while a good part of it will be vomited out. People get saved from SN most of the tine because they get discovered too soon and receive medical intervention. That's why a 3 or 4 hour window of alone time is recommended. I'm not the biggest fan of SN, but only because of all the other necessary meds and difficulty in getting them, and because of the "discomfort" aspect of it - vomiting, tachycardia, breathing problems, etc. I have no doubt it works, though, and that it works very well, as long as recommendations are followed. ANY method can fail, even a firearm. You hear more about the failures because people are able to report them (they're still alive), so those reports are the ones that stay in the mind. Some are even probably bogus failure reports from anti-choicers just using scare tactics.

Given some of the reasons you mentioned for disliking SN, would that cause SI to kick in? Do you know if there are tips for managing SI in general? May be helpful to OP (and tbh myself too)

I think all of the reasons I mentioned for not liking SN - the vomiting (I hate vomiting), the tachycardia, breathing issues - are dealth with by the other meds taken before the SN. I don't know if that causes SI, though. I think the idea of dying itself causes SI. Certainly, if you're not sure you want to die, you're more likely to get bad SI. I don't really think there are any tips to "manage" SI. The more resolute and certain you are that death is the right choice, the less SI you're going to have.
