I was reading a few posts where people were commenting on fasting for days. I doubt I could go 6 hours without sleeping through part of it.

Does anyone have tips or suggestions on how to fast? Possibly overcoming the hunger feelings?

What is the need for fasting for days? I have not seen any method that requires that

There's really no reason to fast for an unbearably long time. In most cases, 8-10 hours should be fine. Usually the goal is to have your stomach be as empty as possible, because food interferes with absorbing.

If you can't fast for 6 hours straight then it's gonna be hard but the body adapts quickly if you have the will. The best way is to start slow and gradually increase the time. Do that once a week at first until you can go a full day without eating then from here it will be easy if you want to go further. Do something while fasting, walks-sport-anything keeping your mind occupied and outside. Personally I eat twice a day, once in the morning at 9 and once in the evening at 6 so if I count right I "fast" every day for 15h right ? I'm used to it and if I want I can easily spend 48h without food. Be careful to not overdo it though, it could lead to eating disorders.

Drink a lot of water if your hungry. If your really hungry and wanna wait then drink 2 percent milk.

I am fasting right now. I really recommend drinking black coffee in the morning. I don't feel hungry when I drink it. I 'm so surprise that I can fast for 17 hrs. And, I can even workout with my empty stomach.

Drinking Ice cold water apparently helps for some people. Still like to know the OP thinks they have to fast for days
