ive dug through a bunch of bridge threads but im more curious about specificly the bridge by me.
ive had enough & wanna CTB within the week but here in NY we don't have any access to guns. this is probably my next best option.

the issues though is if i would survive a 266 feet drop, & climbing the weird rails that are on the bridge.
thoughts?

I'm not familiar with that specific bridge, so I can't help with the railing issue. But 250ft into water is about 95-98% fatal - basically as good as you can get with jumping.

My sources are here:

The height seems fatal. I failed my bridge jumping because SI was so strong that I couldn't climb over the fence as my knees were shaking. If I could have done one thing differently, I would have taken something to lessen the SI like alcohol.

Many people who jump from high bridges into water do not die on impact. Falling on concrete from a large height would be a different story.

I'd recommend you to consider any other possible options before this.

Jumping too SI inducing. It's just about as daunting as laying on the tracks, hearing the train approaching. I admire your courage if choose.

So this is my own story and also Information available on the internet to anyone who wants it. I was on the ledge climbed over and was leaning out only few seconds before letting go of the railing on the Golden Gate Bridge. It was before the net was installed. I was grabbed by jacket and pulled over the railing and handcuffed and taken to hospital. Yes I felt the SI for about 20 seconds but when I climbed over that railing it all disappeared and I was going if not for being seen by tourist and on Camera and bicycle cop on the bridge I would not be here typing this reply. With that said there are better ways to go but in contradiction to what some may tell you hitting water from that height is like hitting a concrete wall. Here is some info for you. I hope you will think about this before you do it and make sure you are truly ready. Then decide how you will go still this way or other. No matter what your choice I wish you the best least painful and quick journey to the other side should you decide and you find Peace.
1. The Golden Gate Bridge is the most popular suicide spot in the world—on average, people jump from the bridge once every two weeks. A person jumping from the highest point on the bridge will drop 245 feet before plunging into the frigid San Francisco Bay waters below.Apr 19, 2011
2. Between 1937 and 2012, an estimated 1,400 bodies were recovered of people who had jumped from the Golden Gate Bridge, located in the San Francisco Bay Area in the United States.[1]

In 2013, 118 potential jumpers were talked down from their attempts and did not jump.[2] As of 2013, it is estimated that 34 people have survived after jumping.[3] Some die instantly from internal injuries, while others drown or die of hypothermia.[4]
Usually their bone are broken and unable to swim if they are still alive after hitting the water. It is rare. Most die instantly.
The fatality rate of jumping is roughly 98%. As of July 2013, only 34 people are known to have survived the jump.[3] Those who do survive strike the water feet-first and at a slight angle, although individuals may still sustain broken bones or internal injuries. One young woman, Sarah Rutledge Birnbaum, survived, but returned to jump again and died the second time.[19]

Again I wish you the best and that you find the Peace you deserve no matter what you do. Peace.

That is a myth, unfortunately. Most people do die, that is true, but it is not an instant death. If it was like hitting a concrete wall, people like Kevin Hines would not be here to peddle his suicide prevention agendas.

Kevin Hines is only around because he hit the water feet first. Just like the Facts in that wiki says. There are a few people who made it but it is like hitting wall. Your thinking is a myth on that. But we will agree to disagree on that. I know I am right about the water wall based on science and fact. But you believe what you want. Wish you peace anyway. And Kevin Hines is an asshole why bother bringing him up at all? He had one thing Luck and even he admitted that. But fuck him. The info I put here is from actual facts. I lived there and know the source quoted in wiki. They are real facts. But again Sorry we will agree to disagree I guess. I will be gone soon anyway, so Peace to you. I wont post lies or myths. Good luck to you.

No problem, friend, and I don't mean to be argumentative. But hitting concrete from 200 and more feet up (about 15 floors) is less than 1 million chance of survival most likely.

Thanks for the comments, and I wish you the best regardless of what you decide.
