This community is toxic for me

Yes I've seen the toxic side of this forum. I've experienced humiliation and it made me feel stupid for even trying to fit in here. Something I've noticed here and out there irl, people will only care if they can relate to you. I came here pouring my heart out after I had seen the support most of the members get but nobody cared cus to you my issues are irrelevant. Things you'll never have to deal with in life. Things you cant comprehend or understand. My posts just keep disappearing cus Y'all turn a blind eye to issues that would never concern you. I'm sorry but it's the truth. This is the most toxic side of the internet I've ever seen. Full of entitled and fake hypocrites. I'm not generalizing I'm sure a lot of you are not inherently bad people.. but still. Coming here I thought I'd feel less lonely and broken but I'm leaving feeling more worthless and stupid for having faith in the internet.

Wow, sorry you have been made to feel that way, Not sure on any of the posts you mention in regards to being made to feel humliation etc, but I can assure you that is not the flow of this forum in general. What you have experienced seems to be a rare occurrence.
Not everyone gets on, in rl or on here, not everyone's opinions are the same, people will disagree etc, its the nature of life.

I don't relate to everyone on here, but I tend to not associate as much with those, and have formed strong communication with those that I do, but it's taken time, sadly though many hold back as not everyone is planning to be here long.

The internet is a tough place, and I am sorry that SS has made you feel this way.

I'm really sorry this is how you feel. There's so many people on here with such a wide variety of issues there's usually someone who can relate and if not people are usually sympathetic. I don't think I've ever seen a cry for help go unanswered before. I am genuinely sorry you've had such a bad experience.

Ive had threads go ignored, just shrug it off call myself a twat and just carry on

Sometimes people don't know how to reply. A lot of times people will just leave an emote to say they at least saw it. When has someone humiliated you? If you're having a problem with someone here, block them. When you post something sometimes you won't get a like on it until months later. Bottom line post what you want and don't worry about what others think. The people who resonate with it will reply.

Yea thats very common being ignored or not appreciated in rl or here(which is not much different from rl). At least here most ppl are not spewing toxic positivity at you, and are ready to listen and discuss issues that are normally taboo. Thats rare! And very often ppl simply dont know what to say - happens to me all the time. Again, not much difference with real life...

@alexK, you shouldn't worry too much about the lack of replies. Sometimes people post so much that threads get "washed away" quickly. I have sometimes started threads and written texts with my own blood without getting any replies. It's not fun, but it happens. If you have encountred toxic people, which all forums obviously have, simply abandon them and start a thread and explain that you need someone to talk to. Usually, you'll get invitations to PM. I strongly advise you to use a less aggressive tone than in this thread, though.

How can we care when most of us, I assume including myself, can't even care for ourselves to the point where we're considering suicide? Also people can care only so much over an Internet forum with anonymous people to the point that from my experience after being on here for over a year sooner or later the people who don't ctb, stop caring to talk and drift away back into obscurity. Hell I got tired of talking about my problems on here because it becomes pointless and even if people cared so much it's not going to change shit about your problems. Trust me when I say this from experience if you're looking for people to connect with on a suicide forum then I'm sorry but you're in the wrong place. And also regarding the toxicity, like come on the people here are very troubled and it's no wonder the toxicity comes with the territory, but you proclaiming this is the most toxic side of the internet like really? I doubt that.

I can relate to you. This place is garbage. I've literally been told everyone hates me and no one cares. Been scammed twice. Had a members death blamed on me. Yet I keep coming back, it's like a form of self harm

All i can say is.. i post stuff. Some get replies some don't. I don't take it personal. Some may get a view, so may not. Threads come and go in a blink of an eye. That's the nature of forums. Some people can relate to what you say.. some don't. It's the same IRL if someone doesn't listen to you. I just say fuck 'em and move on. I have enough to deal with already.

I wrote much stuff without likes or replies. I know it sucks and feels like everyone is ignoring, and how you put effort into thinking and writing and how it takes time and basically getting no rewards (which makes feelings of disappointment based on brain reward system) for the effort of writing but I don't care anymore about it. Like when I write a full logical details or say something that nobody can relate to but nobody interact at all. There are good members here of course but human behavior generally is what causes the problems. Thats what I say is the fundamental error of communication in life and its an inherent problem.

I'm quite sure there are trolls on here who just mess with people for their own amusement. even some who enjoy the pain of others and laugh about it. Maybe some who hope someone ctb's. This is a very unique forum and after all, it is the internet. I know there are very genuine people here, but some completely un-geniune. It seems there are a lot of younger people too, which is very sad to me. I'm over 50 and came on here after just reading it for awhile. Suicide is no joke, and those who are really considering ctb can find support at different ends of the spectrum, but yes...some posers, but some really nice people too who are in pain or want to help.
