Does anyone do this? I'm ruminating about CTB a lot these days because I have oral cancer (next month I'll have biopsy to get something definitive) and post-acute withdrawal syndrome, but at the same time it causes me to think about the afterlife a lot. I've had spiritual experiences before and I definitely think there is soul after death. This seems like crazy talk to many and I don't blame the masses for thinking so.
For example, when I was a kid I had a feeling that someone was behind me watching me as I was sitting down at my computer, then I get a call that my grandfather passed away a few seconds later.
Moreover, there was a monk that was my family was close with. He wasn't a scammer or anything of the sort. He was an experienced practitioner of meditation and I believe he had powers that you couldn't even verify by science. He never asked for money and kept an extremely low profile (monks aren't meant to flaunt their powers, as it's considered a vice and just a byproduct of deep meditation). For example, he was asked to describe how the surgery went for the father of a family friend and to the astonishment of the family friend he knew exactly how many people were in the surgery room, what the layout of the room looked like, and how the building was like (this was even before we had computers and so-called mediums/tarot card readers). He often talked about seeing spirits out and about, and even mentioned seeing my great-grandfather before.
These stories make me believe there is life after death and there is a fate we are all walking on. It doesn't prove reincarnation is real or if there's a heaven/hell. Just curious if anyone has similar experiences or if you believe there is something afterwards.
