Has anyone ever said something to you (good or bad) that has always stuck with you?
I get that too. No real sympathy or empathy even though I know they wouldn't be able to last a day in my shoes."You deserve what happens to you"
"You brought it all upon yourself"
Wish they weren't right
I've gotten that too, so I sympathize. The worse was when I had just gotten out of the hospital for a suicide attempt and was getting on the bus and the driver called me sir with a smirk on his face. It was just one of many experiences that proved to me that there was no reason for me to have survived. It doesn't help that I'm a tomboy, but I dress this way to cover myself up as much as possible and because it's comfortable."You're so ugly I want to vomit."
And other variations of gawking and insults, behind my back or in front of my face.
And my favorite one "Is that a girl?"
Yes bitch. When's the last time you saw a man with hair down to his a**.

Very frustrating.
thanks..yea I try to cover myself up too. That's horrible that that was said to you especially when it was said. It's like life really has a knack for kicking a person when they're down.I've gotten that too, so I sympathize. Yes, the timing couldn't have been more perfect...thanks..yea I try to cover myself up too. That's horrible that that was said to you especially when it was said. It's like life really has a knack for kicking a person when they're down.
Im sorry we have to share such a downer. But appreciate the understanding.
I get that too. I do have short hair and wear a hat all the time. No offence to people who are gay or anything, people question if I am gay, ask if I'm a boy/man, I got called sir yesterday."You're so ugly I want to vomit."

I can relate to this. I don't have short hair, but I wear a hat all the time. I've never been asked if I was gay though and certainly have never been called a dog.I get that too. I have been called a whippet, ie dog.
It's happened throughout my life. My cpn says people are ignorant. I think people can be so judgemental, I hate it.
I was on a train bout maybe 6 years ago an I heard a guy say to person he was with "don't sit there, she's weird, know her from primary school".
"Its your fault dad had heart attack. You make them (mum an dad) ill". I could think of more but makes me angry.
That's horrible. Yeah people can be cruel, I've experienced similar in schools, college tooI can relate to this. I don't have short hair, but I wear a hat all the time. I've never been asked if I was gay though and certainly have never been called a dog.
On my first day of highschool, a boy I went to elementary school with told the boy sitting next to me (loud enough for the whole class to hear) that he was sorry for him for having to sit next to me, because we had assigned seating. I'm sorry you had to go through something similar.
The experiences I had in school prepared me for how unkind people can be.That's horrible. Yeah people can be cruel, I've experienced similar in schools, college too
You'd said about covering up in another post and being a tomboy, I am the same at 36 years old and have always been like this. I also hate tight fitting clothes so wear baggy stuff if can, am insecure about how I look I suppose.
Yeah, your right. People can really be unkind, it doesn't matter where you are. Yeah not a fan of hot weather. I used to cover up more, like 3 hoodies. I always go for comfort over style. It's quite hot here just now and I've got scars all over my body so I never wear just a t-shirt where I live so it's baggy long sleved top, tshirt over it, my hat, and light jacket. Way too hot. Always wear jeans, bootcut lol.The experiences I had in school prepared me for how unkind people can be.
I wear baggy clothes too. I've been dressing the same since highschool. The more I can cover up the better (and it's comfortable). I dread the Summer coming when it will be too hot to wear sweatshirts/sweatpants or a jacket.
That's normally the most comfortable style. I feel the same way about wearing anything tight or with short sleeves, it make me feel so insecure I'll wear a jacket or sweatshirt in the middle of summer.Yeah, your right. I've never spoke to anyone with same/similar clothing style so it's been good to talk to you :)
I used to be the only person in school who wore a jacket and a sweatshirt in May/June. People always talked about me, for never taking my jacket off in class.Yeah, your right. my mother said I was talent-less. People calling me ugly, faggot, low life and really just bringing up my looks.Has anyone ever said something to you (good or bad) that has always stuck with you?
