I hope everyone acts not on impulsive or anger.there is zero shame backing out . Life gets better , if you see your quality of life doesnt have any hope ,great pain, major depression etc would improve and be very sure abt it. If cant pass the hurdle of inflicting pain to those who loved you then slowly stop comtempting suicide.

I do believe that when planning ctb, it is best to not act on impulse as that can lead to the method failing. We all have the right to exit at a time of our own choosing, so of course there is no shame in backing out. However I do not believe that life always gets better, many problems are unfixable and for many things can get worse. That is just the harsh reality of this life. Life is very cruel and unfair after all.

There are contradictory emotions and instincts fighting against each other in your brain. If your survival instinct wins it is ok if not it´s ok too. And yes, one should give this fight time and do not act impulsive.

No it doesn't get better for anyone. Anyone who cared for me in a way I'd respect would be understanding of my desire to leave and let me do as I wish instead of keeping me around unhappy as an object to gawk at. If they're critically upset when I leave, they're free to leave just as I am.

Life will never get better. A life of suffering and emotional trauma isn't one which we were destined for.

I meant for everyone, not anyone. It can get better for some people -- miswording on my part. I just don't want that applied to everyone, even more so when realistic solutions aren't offered. Sorry about that.

In my case, there is something wrong with me backing out simply because me not being dead is contributing to the world being a horrible place to be in so for me to not kill myself this year would be to inevitably generate more suffering.

And before anyone asks, the suffering I might inflict on the idiots who care about me by killing myself is far outweighed by the hatred and malice I generate daily just by being alive.

best edit your original post to clarify. it's a bit too partisan to allow for the comfortable amount of ambiguity many members here prefer when discussing the likelihood of alternatives to suicide
