• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I have watched tons of videos both atheist and christian and atheist just seem more logical. Christians can't come up with excuses for why God exist, neither can they defend that God condones both slavery and genocide. Its kind of crazy seeing a christian try to defend God ordering Saul to slaughter everyone in an entire village, including women children and animals, and then defend by saying its the men of the village did something wrong.

Ok so its ok for me to kill someones entire family, because they're a criminal, their family members are responsible for their actions.

God also put Onan to death because he shot his cum on the floor. So you'll put a guy to death for shooting his cum on the floor but not for killing/raping/stealing/molesting children ect, because that's way worse.

The fact God doesn't show himself to people even if they pray, that he either doesn't exist, or for some reason wants people to not know he exist to "test their faith". Does that make sense at all If you exist you could just implant the belief of God into everyones mind you implanted the desire to sin in everyones. How do you think christians believe they force themselves to and lie to themselves, because if they don't it doesn't matter how good they are if they don't believe in God they will burn in hell. Christians don't even agree with God's actions, they're against abortion when God literally commanded Saul to kill babies. They don't agree with God, but they don't wanna admit it. Then they make this retarded defense that if you think God murdering innocent people is bad than objective morality exist, because God implanted the belief in them that murder is wrong. So you're basically agreeing that God is evil, since he himself violated his own objective moral law.

God wants people to suffer, and he wants bad things to happen that's why he created the forbidden fruit, and gave Satan power, knowing he would use it for evil. If God exist he is the greatest supervillain of all time. There is no way to prove he isn't. even if he exist. He created us for his entertainment he created problems so he could be entertained. Life would be like a tv show for him.

Trapped in this Suffering

What most religious people say about God to me doesn't make sense as how can something all loving, all powerful and all knowing create this much suffering. To me it has to be a lie else he would have prevented all of our suffering from happening in the first place unless his way of loving someone is putting them through a slot machine to see whether they suffer or benefit from it. He is a manipulative sadist who has got us to go through this terrible experiment.

I am agnostic as I am not sure he exists and would prefer for him and an afterlife to not exist but I have been brought up in a Catholic family so it's hard to get the idea of God not existing out of my head.

Does not make sense for sure,
Blessed if you do, Danmed if you don't.
Wouldn't it be in nice to live in a place where all your needs where met, peaceful and serene, for eternity, rather than the other?
People been pondering these thoughts since beginning of time,
No one to date has come up with the right answer so far, it's part of the Human Condition.

One thing for certain though, Faith can heal.

We cannot prove and we cannot disprove. I have always thought it takes as much faith to believe there is no god as it does to believe there is. The back and forth between both sides is pointless to me. What does it matter to anyone what I believe? What does it matter to me what you believe? We are born, we live, and we die. These are the ultimate truths. What we do in between is up to us. Religion is powerful. God can be healing, loving, nurturing to some just as he may be destructive to others. In the end, it is a personal affair. No one should have to justify their faith.

This concept of an immaterial, non spacial non temporal being is one of the most unfalsifiable concepts ever to be conceived by man. Even if the multiverse were proven to be real , that would not disprove this god concept . If the universe/cosmos stretches into the eternal past , they would still say "god created it" . So like any unfalsifiable concept, I just disregard it entirely as it is not anything worth worrying about .

Fair, but the only justification that matters is the person being persuaded. If it aligns with their views and their values, if it helps them to feel comfort and warmth, then it is justified.

"God" is just the figurative summation of the values and ethics of a given culture. Religion is the worship of a given culture. The true creator is in us, I believe. That's why I don't feel bad about catching the bus. I'm simply leaving a reality that doesn't suit nor please me.

Extreme Pain is much worse than people know
Aug 12, 2019

there is no god a human is just another animal like a monkey , fish , frog

why is pain so bad a billion times worse than you can imagine or remember ? why create that and all the suffering? most animals died by being eaten alive.

also how and why would a god or program or programmer constantly monitor the thoughts of 8 billion humans/apes at the same time? where is the power source for a soul?

it makes sense evolution would create immense pain for example if you step on a sharp stick or rock to move away from it and take it out , the pain as that stick pushes into a foot is beyond comprehension . to leave it in there would cause infection . the only hope is to tend and favor that wound take it out otherwise the human dies soon can't walk run fast etc. same thing for the pain of hunger to get the animal to find food or hunt and eat

only the animals that could suffer the worst pain would pass on their genes the others would die of injury or starvation faster , the worse the pain the harder the animal works to feed itself etc.

Spackle.

Meaning always a purpose, a blanket of comfort. When something is outside the known reality tunnel humans ascribe a meaning to put that unknown in there. Religion is purpose and a code, it frames a more known thing than an unknown.

Logic is nice but emotion sets a person among the clouds or the deepest trench. The essence of what it is to experience life. Religion ties a lot of unknowns, human morality, a framework for a way of living with others, all these threads brought to bear in a faith and more. It's an answer, not a logical one, a desperately sought one, a survival mechanism for a species.

Ideology as well as love and the loss thereof has been philosophized and mass death ensued over. Not a stunning track record but then who of us is all bunnies and dandelion seeds on the wind. Humanity is the grace, the horror, and everything in between. In that sense a God has a truer ring to a creation.

Troublesome as it is, everything lives and dies even a faith. Think Zara fire faith is the oldest still around with less than a hundred followers. A faith needs believers and therein lies the rub. That's the crap that sets a honey badger off. Other animals came up with a religion work around. Never a care give while foraging for that walnut, trot along wary at a watering hole but drink. Move along with your world as they move with theirs. No morals, no right or wrong get busy with the moment of the day. Leave each to his/her own, if they find solace in a faith they will find it.

Grandfather was catholic, spent an amount of my early years with him. Could be said this life is like a home lived in for years. Pictures and knick knacks strewn around coasting with time over, up, and down walls and ceilings. Furniture moving in, tired and leaving of its own broken down nature. Children, relatives, friends, lovers, all marking the walls with all that a house holds. May remodel a home but whether new, remodeled, or old the wear will show. The holes and cracks are in the wall, don't always remember how or why, becomes a mystery. Any faith, any purpose, and meaning is a spackle job. Keeps the wall refreshed and the home being a home.

Even Peterpan wanted a home, probably used melted marshmallows to fix holes but spackle it still was. So if a honey badger spackles his home I'll let it be as I've spackling to do in my house and as any sane forest creature can attest to all hell breaks loose when an unwanted guest comes in.

I believe we are creatures of light, having a physical experience, with all the pains and hardships that come along with the material world, and that it will be serene and peaceful afterwards. I will be leaving this world soon, because I feel like I must. I'd rather not list my overwhelming amount of problems. Only that I'll be gone soon. I have almost 0% hope. But I kindly ask you to remember any measure of hope, happiness, strength to pull yourselves out of this dark place. Things almost always get better. You deserve better than suicide. You are loved. God is love. ❤️

What does the Torah say? I don't know much about religions outside of Christianity.
ב''ה,

Wow, what doesn't it say for a culture that naturally came with gematria so is founded in "information theory." The "Pi" movie (about the number with the Autechre soundtrack, not the Life of Pi with the tiger as also alludes to fear) is about that.

So from "our" perspective everything is in there somehow if you dig hard enough to come up with a reading or excuse, but more seriously.. pray to study for G-d's reasons or in a way that pleases G-d, then dig in and it's that 'first as fear' thing, Moshe maybe walking out with a migraine while observing leaves changing color for climate change or drought (burning bush) possibly a psychedelic acacia tree.. and more seriously, a lot of blessings wrestled for or stolen or traded (ancient systems of estate law/inheritance), and 'sometimes G-d just up and smites half of everyone to tell us something,' though the golden calf bit alludes to both prohibited idolatry and the eventual shift of the language from hieroglyphics to something that was easy to read and write without an art degree.

Let's just say that in Judaism G-d's personality has more than just one emotion (while Rome decided love sells like sex sells), as with an actual person, but generally beyond comprehension 'until we figure out what He meant by whatever He just did unless He did specifically tell anyone,' connecting the ancient practice to a sort of prototypical science (G-d proper makes the chaos that makes the weather and rain for the crops, not a statue anyone slaughters babies in).

I was being humorous, but a lot of the major episodes in Torah proper are a bit like 'and almost half of everyone lived to tell the tale,' so, Jewish humor.

There is certainly a large amount of baggage accompanying the Abrahamic versions of God that make it unpalatable for many people, including myself. But there are numerous other relgions that believe in God, plus beliefs that fall outside organized religions which are also worth considering.

For example the Sikh God is called Waheguru. This is not the same concept of a personal God as in Abrahamic religions, rather it's more of a Oneness force that permeates everything in our reality and beyond. Waheguru is the Great Architect that created the universe. Sikhs don't have stories about the creation of the universe like the Bible, instead they believe such questions are beyond human understanding. Sikhs believe in reincarnation, and Waheguru can liberate a soul from the cycle of death and rebirth.

Pantheism offers a different perspective, which is that God is the universe itself. It's certainly plausible that the universe as a whole has addtional properties beyond those of the individual parts, just like a human being has properties such as consciousness that are beyond the individual's body parts. Pantheism isn't an organized religion, and there are no prophets, so a lot of questions are left open. A pantheistic God may not care about people or good/bad at all, it could simply run time forward and watch as the universe evolves according to the laws of physics. Some people say Albert Einstein believed this, although he never said much about religion so I'd take that claim with a grain of salt.

I consider myself to be firmly agnostic. There is no scientific evidence for the existence of a God, so I'm not a believer. But science also can't rule out the existence of a God. Physics certainly leaves plenty of room for a God to exist. What created the big bang? Is the universe self-aware like people are? Why is the universe arranged such a way that complex and elegant molecules such as DNA and cells arose spontaneously on Earth?

God is bullshit made up by humans. Unfortunately, human beings are animal misfits, permanently unhappy and frustrated. He doesn't accept his condition, he doesn't accept being nothing and above all he doesn't accept being a laughing stock of biology. Human beings are pathetic, ridiculous.
