Why do i feel like the only unconditional love I'll get is from my mom and dad. It feels like everything in the world is just prostitution. Every human relationship. It's all based on something that is shallow. Maybe my expectations are unrealistic. I am suffering because I desire something that doesn't exist.

I mean, we do love you, but I'd say absolutely anyone can get unconditional love just for who they are. But I know how you feel, most of the world does feel like that these days. Great post from @Sinbad (IMO). It brings me back to memories of 'The Catcher in the Rye' - "Just play the game, boy".

As I evaluate my situation, I have to admit I got some good cards and some not so good cards - pretty much like everyone. But I didn't play them well enough.

Now, to be sure, there are some really 'shitty' hands that get dealt out there. But the fact remains, as @Sinbad says, life is not fair. I admire the people who turn lemons into lemonade.

Amen! I'm not really interested in playing by the rules of life either. A minimal existence—even that requires a ridiculous amount of effort. Life is all about maintenance—a dull and wearisome process, a monotonous and recursive nightmare. If I'm both uninterested in the rules and incapable of following them, I might as well leave the game.
