Venting Therapist tried to scare me

Therapist was telling me to hold onto the hope that the next day is better and that death isn't the answer because no one knows what happens after death.
She said for all we know death could be even worse.

I'm just so tired

that's was not very professional of her, i think.

she should provide you with tools to deal with this urges and other perspectives when it comes to life/ctb, etc. but under absolutely no circumstances try to convince you trough fear.

just my personal opinion. sounds like manipulation tbh.

Well, her theory sucks because death could also be heaven and eternal happiness or simply darkness + nothingness. No one knows the truth but it is not a professional attitude to "scare" patients.

Anyway, my therapists scared the hell out of me when they told me "life is worth living and we all have a purpose" lol

Is your therapist christian? Maybe she/he's indirectly talking about Hell. Just without obviously adding religion to the conversation.

Even if isn't the case, what a bad way to handle a patient. Talk about adding existential crisis to the mix.

I would have reminded her of all the atrocities that are committed on this planet everyday

Death is part of life. A good therapist should not be making you fear death. I would find a new therapist.
