So once I reached a specific stage of depression a decade ago , my brain started to act weird. It started to assume the world is ending very soon for example when I see people having kids it feels extremely surreal.
Ever since, my brain stopped viewing life the same , and it started to feel bizarre to see people imagining their future or making plans.
Im posting this to ask if there are people that went/are going through this. Im wondering is it late stage dissociative disorder or smthg else completely

I see people b$llsh$t around me - thinking I won't see it. Sometimes they warn each other that I didn't buy it or noticed something obvious and they were afraid. I don't care about it and I cannot change anything anyway. Some are successful. Some are both.
I am alone and just accepted it. It is fine as I didn't choose to be born. Just living and waiting until it's time to CTB.
New methods made me colder hence a better observer and I appreciate people who are the real deal compared to that type.

I often dream of the apocalypse not because I'm sadistic and want to see thw world suffer, but to have an immediate "justification" for my suicide (E.g Nuclear nukes, economy and nature is screwed, let me kill myself before things go harsher) and people be less judgmental with my decision.
So the ending of the world could be inminent, but for some people like me it's an opportunity to trascend and say goodbye without fearing of social ostracism.

I realized when I feel like it's the end, it's the end of me or my world. It is not related to anything else outside. I know it because I found my favorite methods and it changed me and made me a bit calmer. I do not find it weird what people plan, but I could easily see that some might compare their life to others which is normal. I compare some things and do not find them reasonable; for example when people are too shy about what I do not find shy (in professional settings). I was and still partially like them though.
I want to tell them: don't worry, you will always find the best way. (So I kinda let them know they will solve the issue and if it is too bad and it ruins their life, they will do what many people one famous website would).
I do not wish them this but I think people are the same and they will try to catch something when things go too badly.
I would never dictate them to do anything specific, but if I have to say something I would have always said something generic that is positive and encouraging.

Well I'm mostly here because my company was sold and I'll soon be downsized. Third time in my life. Now I feel like I can't escape those headlines, although that stuff is very much in the news right now.
So yeah in the sense I feel like most people are screwed. Seems impossible to make it to retirement, afford healthcare or a home, it's all just financial ruin. My brain can't see anything else. So yeah what's the point.

I think it is natural for some people to mentally write this world/society off, when they have decided they might not want to be part of it anymore.

I have found myself becoming very cynical about many aspects of this life in recent years. Whether that's right or wrong, I don't really know… but it's just how I feel. I very often do go down these doomer rabbit holes, but I'm not sure how much I fully believe these theories about everything being close to imminent collapse.

I do think some of it is logical though. We are edging closer to climate disaster, we do have unstable geopolitics crazy leaders and enough nukes to blow the world up twice. And we did just go through a pandemic that could easily happen again but with a virus that has a higher mortality rate… so yeah some things are genuinely menacing about the future of society.

Anyone can become a helpless victim at any moment. No matter how strong you think you are, or how insulated you think you are from danger. History shows us this, and I've always been a big reader of history…

a pandemic
Yes, this thing made me find methods and this website. It seems like they want some people to CTB. Not sure about the virus but the lockdowns are real and people went broke. I am still somewhat screwed because of it.
Well I'm mostly here because my company was sold and I'll soon be downsized.
New companies tend to be like that. My own place I work at is very unstable. They started a few years ago. I have more related experience than they exist. I am almost out of there. New managers all the time etc.
I often dream of the apocalypse not because I'm sadistic and want to see thw world suffer, but to have an immediate "justification" for my suicide (E.g Nuclear nukes, economy and nature is screwed, let me kill myself before things go harsher) and people be less judgmental with my decision.

Nukes - I heard they cause no pain if they are close enough. I heard that no one can realize. - and it sounds about right. I thought same, I even thought I would be grateful for that to happen. The thing is no one would even realize that. Yes, this is a great opportunity if something huge is about to happen no one can control, but I doubt anything will happen.

At some point I started thinking the same way. I can't stop thinking about possible end of human race and assuming that world is ending soon.

Also that's why I stopped making big plans and lost any faith in future.
