How do we deal with the finality of committing suicide, the entire earth ends and gets sucked up into nothing when you die because you are essentially the only perception of what the world is and you are your own god. How do we come to acceptance and get rid of survival instinct when the ego is too high and the fear of the unknown is too scary. It is such unfamiliar territory, it is scarier than being trapped somewhere in space or at the bottom of the deepest ocean. Life is painful but its just such a frightening thought to die.

It's an interesting question, because most of the time when faced with something new in life, we feel uncertain and anxious, but once we go through it, potentially more than once, it becomes familiar. The same can't be said about dying, because technically it only happens once.

That's why it has to be an act of impulse for me, the less time this brain has to process it the better.

It's a daunting thought, to say the least. One perspective you can take into consideration is the fact that you are going to die, soonor or later. Of course we would all prefer to live meaningful healthy lifes, but it won't be always that for everyone. So, if you can't have what you want, you may considering going taking a shortcut to where you eventually is going to go nevertheless.

What is it exactly that you are afraid of? If i got to choose i would end all life, not just humans but all life on earth. I have this strong repulsion towards how life works. The weak disgust me, the strong disgust me. Everyone leeching off each other disgusts me. In my life, I have been the strong one and I have been the weak one. And i hate both roles with passion.

But I don't have that choice. The second best thing for me is to kill myself.

My answer reaching deep into filosofy like you do is that the human consiunes is trapped on it self, but to archive something beyond it self one must rid as much ad posible from ego, and fell part of the whole, there is a curios teory by yung that consiuned in its roots its something shared by all humanity the, colective subcontious he calls it, its not that the individual creates sociaty, its that society creates an individual. I personaly find peace at that idea too everything that i care and value will remain here way beyond we are gone

We cannot comprehend what it is like to be dead as existence is all we know. All humans are programmed to survive as well which means that ctb is difficult. Personally, the thought of everything ending is such a comforting thought. I will be free of all suffering and I will never have to experience anything again. I believe there is nothing after this. I see existence as a burden and when I die I will be free from the prison that is consciousness.

I work with people who live too long and lose their independence, dignity and character. There's no reward for surviving and getting through life; you're still gonna die anyway… except it'll be in your own waste.

I'd rather take responsibility and leave the party before any of that. I won't miss out on anything because missing out is for the living. Depression isn't as disorder, it's accepting the miserable existence we all entail. There is no happy ending. Nothing matters.

LOL - Merry Christmas ;)

Maybe it's something some of us can't accept because nonexistence is incomprehensible. In that case, we don't necessarily "accept" it, but we go through with it and let nature take it's course. I echo that one post above that suggests that the less time we have for our brain to process what it means to die and anticipate dying, perhaps, the better. Fear is a very natural reaction to what we can not understand and anticipate. But no matter how scared or not scared we are, every single one of us is going to die whether we want to or not in the same way we were all poofed into existence regardless of our wishes.🥺

What if we are poofed here again?
