Akin to and in the same magnitude as slavery, the genocide and the oppression of women in medieval centuries, i have no doubt about that. If the world doesn't collapse from climate change that is.
It's a little bit different with suicide as some suicidals want to be saved and some ex-suicidals become preventionists. But yes, there are those that are determined to end their suffering regardless of what they're told by society.

I wish it was true, but that might be putting to much faith in mankind. It might be that the good and reasonable people will be "weeded out" by suicide and antinatalism, and what will be left will mostly be religious and dictatorial people. But I hope I am wrong.

Many women living in traditionnal societies also think that the west and liberation of women / equality of the sexes is for degenerate scums and dirty whores, they don't want the equality that is sacro-saint in the west and see it as a foreign idea of kuffar (atheists, which is a derogative term in arabic), and teach their girls principles pertaining to chastity, obedience and to seek a good husband above all things, and that the woman should be odient to god commandments considering chastity, humility, obediance to parents etc. I personnaly know a lot of them, since i live in a muslim country
So no, it's not different.
