Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I've really been wondering, SaSu seems to be the only active forum online these days with many users and discussions happening every day. Personally I'm the most comfortable with the forum type of communication on the internet, I am completely deterred by the various social media platforms that exist these days. It feels riddled with bots and ads and zero genuine people.
Are there other active forums online? Not necessarily about mental illness or taboo topics. Whenever I search for anything I just find dead forums.

I feel the same. I appreciate how forums kind of force you to be a bit more thoughtful with your posts, and it makes conversations way easier. I'd like to see any recommendations people have!

Pretty much the only forums that really thrive these days are those that deal with subjects that aren't acceptable by social media standards, or where anonymity is important because nobody wants to be associated with the topic IRL. That's why this one and the Incel board do so well. Any mundane areas of interest have been monopolized by big tech.

Spacehey has forums and they're fairly active

same with newgrounds

there are active forums out there, you just gotta know where. typically the ones that are for a niche.

I've tried searching for some, but I swear they're all gone/barely active. I'm glad SaSu is very active though.

I've looked into Spacehey but it has a ton of minors and frankly I'm uncomfortable with that. I'd prefer spaces with people more or less my age...

My cousin us into riding and us an active member of a few health forums. I think a lot of things have moved to reddit.

I prefer forums too. I am part of few discord communities and I do not like that things are just one, giant conversation. It makes commenting on a single idea impossible unless you see it right away. Whereas here, U can see a thread from even years ago and add to the topic without interrupting what is currently going on.
