Discussion the SN conundrum

I see more and more threads about people ctb with SN and stores refusing to sell it thanks to than. I've looked into pretending to be a meat... Uh... Worker... Jerky maker of sorts. While I do have SN, maybe "making jerky" would make you a more legit buyer? Trying to figure ideas on how to look like a more legit SN buyer.

Online stores refusing as well? If not you could try and do it this way, I ordered mine a few days ago without any questions. It's just that, I don't know, jerky maker smells a bit dodgy, especially I would imagine to people who do sell SN for such purposes. But then again it might work for someone who's not me, I've never been able to pull off bs like this.

I got my sn online and the seller shipped it to me within 3 hours of the order being placed. I was surprised but I guess I lucked out

Amazon sells SN without question. How long they continue to sell it remains to be seen. I'm planning to order a supply this month to have on hand 'just in case'. I know I'd kick myself if I didn't order while it was still fairly simple to obtain, and then it became something very difficult and expensive to get. Last time I checked Amazon, the price was around $20 (free shipping).

I had no problems with Ebay. I was a bit scared when the post office lady handed it to me. It had warning labels all over the package. If the lady would've asked questions, that could've been bad.

I have sn I purchased in the summer and it has become hard and I've never opened it. Would you trust it or should I get more? It's hard to get it where I live, the us wont send it

Your SN probably has no anti-caking agent, and that's why it turned into rock. It's probably still effective assuming the bottle is airtight. I have the same issue and I bought mine a little over a month ago.

I do wonder if it absorbed moisture. If I remember correctly, exposure to moisture (in air over time or water) turns it to sodium nitrate, which would not help your bus plan(s). May want to check to be sure ... including possibility it's now nitrate not nitrite. Not an expert and not trying to concern you so please don't blast the reply .... just a couple of thoughts.
