This is what bothered Jesus so much that he bled from every pore:

The Christian idea was to believe in Jesus, follow in his footsteps and thus eliminate the wickedness and the abomination of humans.

The opposite effect has been achieved: The more Catholic Christians we have, the faster the population grows (no contraceptives allowed) and the faster the planet is destroyed. Those who are in power as Christians, are doing the least to live up to the idea of living like Jesus. They are so dysfunctional, that at their peril, they act to the detriment of others, have no empathy and there is no limit to their imagination how to get what they want by malevolence, disenfranchisement, predatory behaviour for any possible resource (starting with money, sex) that is required for our biological security, suppression, violence, intimidation, greed, complacency.

Empaths cannot exist, much less function with reasonable expectation of enjoyment in a world where all this is blatantly obvious.

What do you all think ?

I wrote this about society, but I think that it also applies to Christians that have forgotten (or never learned) Jesus message of compassion for all:
I've fallen through the societal cracks in many ways.
Once a person has fallen through the cracks, society examines the person.
The cracks are growing.
The examination of the "fallen people" deepens.
Why is everyone ignoring the cracks?

As someone who sees clearly, and feels very deeply, I do not see a way for me to be remain in this world without being in constant pain, or distracting myself from the pain by actions that I run out of steam to undertake, like concentrating on a chess game, or writing, or drawing, any of the things I like to do. Too much pain and horror is happening all around me, I know not what to do. I think it helps others that my energy is here as I meditate, pray through mantra, but man it hurts. Wish I could express myself better but I'm deep in it right now. Our love could save the world, if they only knew...or fucking cared, moronic humans. My survival instinct is strong. I love music, food, and myself and so it's hard to leave this place behind...it feels like I'm doing a disservice to my evolution, which I have faith is being served well by these lessons and this suffering.

To answer your question, I think there are plenty of good and bad Christians out there, just like with any religion. This doesn't mean you can't enjoy or live your life because of these people. "Make an island of your self no flood can overwhelm" (or something like that, said by some one wiser than I).

This is an opinion, I don't think Christianity works well as a religion. Religion for me is supposed to bring peace and calm to your mind, and so your life. With the exception of some types of Christian mysticism practised by monks and some rare individuals, it fails to do this to the most part. It seems like Jesus was an ethical nice guy which I agree with, but apart from that I would not like to be like him as for his beliefs are concerned. For one thing, Christianity is very dogmatic and doesn't actively encourage introspection much. Prayer seems very much like wishful thinking to me. It contains a lot of Biblical stories that seem either exaggerated or complete nonsense. It isn't very scientific. It encourages seeing natural human behaviour as sinful and so you can develop guilt easily.

Now the Darwinian view of the world is almost as bad, because although it is scientific which is good, it treats us basically as reproductive units without much higher purpose at all. And if you go down the path alone you end up screwed up in the head. Because then your wife or partner leaves you or you end up alone without children, and then you suffer a lot, because you think, "I have missed the point of life". This is deluded thinking. Or you just see life as a selfish and competitive ecosystem, which is quite a bleak view of things.

The only religion that has ever worked for me personally is Buddhism. Which skips the step of God entirely, which I think helps. When you believe in a higher being with immense power you have to pray to, as well as miracles and so on, this creates all kinds of potential for psychological problems and various delusions. A lot of things have been done in the name of 'God' which don't seem very Godly to me. One way of approaching religion is then, an entirely practical approach where you meditate and mainly do that without subscribing to dogmatic practices, then see what unfolds. This approach isn't entirely confined to Buddhism, Sikhism and Hinduism, the Indian religions, are often along these lines too while still keeping the whole God thing.

inconvenient to capitalists, they would have to admit their "trickle-down" effect that they promised to the poor when they decided they will be billionaires, is not working

It could still be that evolution is a ruse, we are not seeing enough mutations per generation.

Fossil evidence conflicts with your assertion. Recorded human history comprises of less than 0.1% of life existing on earth. Out of curiosity, what is an acceptable amount of mutations per generation?
