Discussion The “Reaction” Toolbar

Recently, I have noticed a lot of discussion about the "like/love/hug/aww/wow/angry"
Reaction Toolbar at the bottom of each post.
Maybe it is time to open a discussion.
Here's my two cents—
Physical pain often prevents me from replying to posts.
The Reaction Toolbar allows me to remain involved in the threads.
If it were removed, I really would be marginalized.
I understand that some people interpret reactions as ego stimming for various agendas, but for me it is basic communication.
It would be great to hear from others.

It was very valuable to hear your perspective.

Unlike on Facebook, I find the reacts here to be mostly valuable. They are actual communication and part of a conversation.

I see the negative aspects as well, such as how they can be used to gang up on someone, or to psychologically manipulate someone with love-bombing.

Overall, I personally wouldn't be sad if they were taken away, but I would neither lobby against or for them.

I'm fine with them, I think they can be a valuable form of expression. Sometimes you don't have anything to add beyond an expression.
Like any form of communication though it can be abused. In a sense, it's a form of free speech.

Although I would like to see this function gone, I perfectly understand your point of view, and I think that the majority of users feel the same way you do.

Across the universe is a wonderful song! Thank you for reminding me that.

Reaction toolbar is very useful.... Should not be removed.

One example is when someone makes a post, and you don't really know what to say, but you want to acknowledge that you have read their post...
