Pretty much. And something I've pondered recently is the slim chance of existing as a human instead of another creature like a dog, cat, or horse.

And thankfully not as a sea creature - there's some scary shit in the ocean.

I also think the argument that life is a gift because it's so rare is silly. There are some cancers that are super rare and your chances of getting them are way under 1%. Should people who get those kinds of cancers be thankful? Should they go, "oh, my disease is so rare, therefore it's a gift"?

The "why me" throws another question: did you exist before?
Because if not then your whole existence is even more worthless. It's not you that came into existence. The universe just spontaneously spawned a bunch of cells.

I truly hope there is some sort of heaven after death. I want an explanation for all of this. Maybe "life" as we know is just a step in some sort of cosmic evolution. I don't want it to be 100% pointless.
