The book final exit

Final exit was the first book I read about suicide, back than I thought its the only book exist On the subject.
I think it's the first book that dare to talk about suicide.

I had one plan that I took from the book, I was very happy until I read other books in the subject (PPH and dignified dying)

My plan back than was morphine, according to the book 7 pills of 30 mg is enough, although every other book don't agree with the method.

I bought the edition of 2020, and I didn't see Correction for this error, and also I didn't really see any change in the book at all from earlier editions.

A lot from the drugs that suggesting there unavailable or not peaceful and he advise to use an exit bag

Do you think this book is still reliable?

I will check my version of it for that now. Youd be lucky to get a good high of 220mg morphine in pill form.

Not a problem for me to get morphine pills, I have a diller in my country

What i meant was it's very hard to OD from oral morphine.
To be honest i see why i didn't follow this book. Unless you are extremely frail and have no tolerance the doses given wont be fatal. I think it is more aimed at the extreme terminally ill-bed-ridden... it does have a lot of good, true information in it... i just don't see it as a thoughrough aid.

I read this chapter, he doesn't give a guidance on how much to take, also in reliability he is 4 from 10, I guess most of its because the resistance, but yet if morphine is not done in the 'slow Euthanasia' most chances it's going to fail

There's a ill people that there body is strong and they have time in the brain, morphine won't kill them but yet he keep suggesting on this.

It's really not responsible to recommend such a unreliable method in such a book

Haven't read the book, let alone the latest version, but when I read N blog comments alone of D.H., not all the statements appear top notch. I'll be watching out closely when Nitschke approaches 90. Oh no, wait, not even cat!

According to Wikipedia, Final Exit was banned in FR. I'm disqualified, cat too !

Final Exit was my first official suicide related book as well. I still have my copy from 1991. That said, so much of the information is outdated and re-written and updated in the newer versions of the PPH. The lethal dose of morphine in old Final Exit is only 210mg, that has long since been upped to 2 grams/2,000 MG of morphine. Definitely check out the updated PPEH. This might also be helpful:
