A woman who has been in a vegetative state for years (still conscious tho... hell on Earth IMO) gave birth to a baby some days ago.

So there's a woman, trapped in her own body since years, but still conscious, probably in so much mental suffering that very few can imagine... and some scumbag decides to rape and impregnate her?

How much of a piece of shit can people be?

The article says she was already two weeks pregnant when the accident happened that put her into a coma. She was on her way to meet her husband somewhere so the baby is probably his. No?

She was in a coma "virtually" her entire pregnancy. She got pregnant before that. Its very clear from the article...

Honestly I believe the sexual abuse of comatose patients is far more frequent then reported, they're such easy targets unfortunately.
