How can i test, if the pull up bar will hold my weight, when doing short drop (0.5m fall) without risking the whole thing will slip and smash on my head?

Yeah, i already did so,shaked around up and down, but i think with a fall of half a meter, the force on the bar will be much stronger and if i test it, causing a fall while holding a rope with both hands using gloves, if the bar slips it will surely hit my head

Yeah a half a meter fall will cause what's called a dynamic load which will increase the forces greatly.

Unfortunatly the only way to test it is to simulate the drop either with yourself or something that weighs the same as you.

Like I said in chat, get a bar that has ends that you can screw into the wall. Rubber ends cause slippage and won't hold you when you start convulsing. 2 inch drywall or wood screws will work, and won't hit any electrical wiring or water pipes. Screw into a stud or frame (use a studfinder or just knock on the wall with your hand)

Put a helmet on your head? And a soft mattress on the ground?

thx, i think i will not longer try to fall half a meter, thats too much depth risky and i am sure the pull up bar will slip. I will slowly increase the amount of fall and watch, if the pull up bar slips

using a studfinder is a good idea, i have a wallpaper and dont know whats behind. I already tested shaking around while hanging on it and it bended just a little, tomorrow i will try to test convulsing while have a rope wrapped around my hands to make sure it will probably get through my seizures while dying. If the pull up bar will behave unexpectedly, i still can consider using another pullup bar and put screws to the wall.

good idea with the helmet, i think i'll use one before i test the bar, unfortunately there is no space for the mattress, instead i can use a sleeping pad

Would it work if i (lightly) jump or let me fall on the pull up bar? Are the conditions comparable?

If it's telescopic, you can set it near the ground and stand on it.

It is, I woke up today, then luckily i had that idea. Instead of hanging on it, just jumping or falling
I don't think the fall is enough to kill you. How tall is your doorframe?

I use the corridor instead of the door frame
Even if you have enough space to stand on the bar, you would need immense upper body strength to lift yourself and stand on it. Or you would need to find a foothold like a stepladder, which would make the bar pointless. Not to mention the risk of failure and you ending up paralyzed.

The bar is currently installed near the top of my celing, i thought, i just remove it from there, install it half a meter above the floor, try to test it and if it doesnt break, i will put it back to the place near the ceiling.
But i am almost 100% sure, it will break.
I am already looking for a location outside to hang myself, maybe a forest, a bridge.
