Which one is better to help in ctb? Currently I'm prescribed temazepam for sleeping but my psychiatrist recommended me to switch to zopiclone because I haven't been sleeping

Depends on how you want to go.

Either on their own have little chance of a successful ctb.

They will both slightly sedates, temazipan will cause CNS depression but not enough to make a difference.
Zopiclone is a sedative, not sure of mechanism but from experience its not overly effective at making you tired.

Sorry to say but wont work, youll just end up sick. Most OD via sleeping tablets dont work when you think youve fallen asleep your actually very active at first. Even ive managed to open the door to the home treatment team, text although it made no sence, walk around, hang my washing out and follow the team outside before eventually putting myself to bed. Woke up and dint know what happened untill they called me the next day, i dont remember them even being in my flat. They assumed i was drunk and left instead of calling an ambulance.

Restoril, with alcohol. It's a benzo, whereas Zopiclone is not. Benzodiazepines and alcohol are both central nervous system depressants, which will potentially cause respiratory distress followed by arrest. I say alcohol because it's difficult to OD on benzos alone; I once had an ER physician tell me the only way to kill yourself with benzos is to occlude your airway with them.

Apparently, there have been rare cases of CTB with Zopiclone documented, but there's no mention of whether alcohol or other substances were involved.

So, I'd say Restoril + alcohol, but I have no idea what dose. I'd say why not take both drugs, just to be safe.

Yeah I wasn't planning on OD'ing on them no worries! I meant as help in other overdoses since a lot of OD's require you to take sedatives as well (: thanks for answering!

Temazepam may be better but also may interact more with other meds leading to potential counter productive results, its more likely to hekp with some things too...
All depends on what yoh take with it.
Zopiclone would react less with other meds.

All depends on how you look at it.

Zopi definitely doesn't work. My friend tried afew months ago. Overdoseing in general is waste of time. You will just end up being sectioned. :(

I don't plan on OD'ing on those alone (: it's just that a lot of methods to ctb ask for a sedating medication and I was wondering whether it was better to have temazepam or zopiclone. I'm going to go with SN so it's not really important anyway but just in case I want to have access to the best sedating agent of the two. Thank you for answering x

It is really difficult to take enough benzos and alcohol to overdose. I tried once, took 40 pills and a bottle of vodka, but i only had a bit of hangover the next day in the mental hospital. You would need to combine three chemicals: a benzo, an opiate and alcohol to actually ctb.
