  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I backed out of using SN for my attempt recently, and looked into N. I'm still unsure because I'm worried getting caught with N and any legal issues or a trip to the psych ward (never been) could cause serious consequences. I won't get into why, it may be identifying.

One worry with SN is that if there's discomfort or pain, I may call out because I don't have a high pain tolerance. I don't want to be interrupted or saved.

I was going to stay in a hotel not too far, in the suburbs. I thought that a less busy hotel might be a good thing.

Then I thought that a hotel in a big city may be more anonymous, with people less likely to intervene or get in your business. That's appealing.

Tell me what you think about the hotel in particular, or anything else.

Thanks

In my case, if I chose a hotel for the SN take it would have to be a quiet one (only adults if possible), a high floor and, if possible, have mountain views. If I could, I would choose one that has check out at 12pm instead of 10am.

I have a secluded place scoped out, I've never seen anyone go in to this enclosure and it is difficult to see in to from any path or road and the trees hide anything from sight in the autumn.

Luckily,I live alone.
So ideally, I would prefer to leave this world in my own bed

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately incredibly difficult to find adult only hotels where I am, but I am working on finding pet free ones. Those are becoming harder to find, but I think that would be worth it - a barking dog sensing that I'm in danger would be a stroke of shitty luck lol.

My original plan was a forested area, but I'm not very outdoorsy and don't have a good idea of which places people don't go to. That and I need to use SN in the morning because I have a hard time fasting. Easier to achieve with a two night stay at a hotel than in broad daylight.
