Taking SN across borders

Does anybody know how likely it is for SN to be confiscated if I bring it to the US or Japan? I got mine in China, but I don't think I want to die here, if possible. I'd much prefer to CTB either in my homestate, or in Aokigahara (the suicide forest in Japan). Heck, I don't even know IF I'm ready to CTB, but I just don't want to lose my SN if I decide to go elsewhere.

It should be easy to disguise it as something else, in a different container. Bath salts seem reasonable just rinse it out so the SN doesn't acquire any perfume smell.
