Surrounded by Npcs

Everytime I try to open up about these feelings I get met with platitudes. I havent been able to tell people how I feel for years at this point because im always met with positivity bullshit about how life isn't bad. Life is a blessing. Everyone has problems. Yea well if everyone has problems then why am I the only person who has thought up of suicide as a solution. I swear, the people in my daily life really make me feel like im the only person in the world who has ever been depressed. I hate being surrounded by people who have no idea what it's like to deal with this depression shit that makes you want to poison yourself or put a bullet in your head. Tired of being depressed and tired of no one in my 21 years of life having even a miniscule understanding of how difficult it can make life be. People have no compassion or empathy. They are so inept.
A couple days ago when I was thinking of suicide by SN I thought of leaving a note. I didn't care to leave a note before until I realized that I had to make it clear my death was a suicide. All I would want it to say is
"My only regret is not having done it sooner."

I'm sorry you are surrounded by these hollow shells. Unfortunately the majority of people seem to be completely clueless about depression and often think it's just sadness and brush it off. You are right. People have no empathy nor compassion and its rare to find someone who does In this sea of selfishness.

Hollow shells is the perfect way to describe it. You try to get through to them but there's nothing there.

I would avoid calling other human beings NPCs. They're not, it's just that everyone is not as aware as you because they haven't suffered enough to wake up to certain realities.

Calling others zombies or NPCs just makes you sound like an edgelord, and does nothing good for your cause.

Obviously they aren't literal NPCs. Every person is a world of it's own. I'm just so used to the same responses and the same stares I get from people when I try to talk about something real for once. These are the same people that claim "Everyone goes through things." Honesty the most unhelpful and worst kinds of people to talk to. Its been my experience that many people have no type of introspection or desire to understand anything but their narrow minded worldview. Most people aren't aware of anything that requires even the most minimal emotional depth. All they do is breed like animals and inconvenience people like me who are already having a shit time.

Most of the time with the things these types of people say and the actions they take, you have to wonder if they are operating solely on their programming. Its never anything different. My parents are like this. Alot fo people in my area are like this. Probably as close to NPC as u can get
