I've been there by a link and frankly, why should we close our eyes to the harsh reality of life and how it pans out for any of us. But the comments show people go there not to learn anything, but to get off on it. Pure evil. To be honest, watching anything horrific always makes me care about people more and feel more empathy. I don't celebrate the violent streak in me either.
The issue is the VAST majority of these websites, documenting reality included, have derogatory and distasteful comments.
I think they come hand in hand with these types of sites, I know of many and they're all the same.
Granted, documenting reality is a little less worse than the others overall but it's still littered with unsavoury comments. Like I said though, regardless of where you go to watch this type of content, they seem to attract the same type of people.
Do you mean definitely jump from a building is the best choice for you? Misunderstanding maybe what you are saying.

For me, I've only thought about jumping off a cliff, that way I'm sure I'll die, forget car and train, too messy and unpredictable...I actually wish I knew what to do with drugs but I still haven't a clue how...

This forum contains videos from multiple sources and is usually the most up-to-date. Lots of them are also accidents and murders, which highlight the morbid nature of reality.
Even if you don't want to die, reality can and will kill you. Reality sucks
Physical deaths by suicide can be so nasty and painful that I became convinced to go for CO, SN, or N (anything chemically mediated) when I looked into these videos several years ago

Yeah, they seem to have dropped in favourability. As for the reasons, not sure, maybe too keen on taking down/controlling content or something of that nature.
Mhm, although I get the impression that a lot of them also try to come across as such. It's usually the same type of comments anyhow, taunting or mocking of some sort. So, why they kick out of it I couldn't say, but I do feel we've all become somewhat desensitized over the years. I honestly can't recall any of this while growing up. Worst we did was watching "Faces of Death" as a bunch of teenies. It creeped us out, especially the 70's pseudo documentary style. But in the words of the director: "The movie's about, I would say, 30% real and 70% bullshit."
The editor's magic can be seen in the dog fight segment; two pit bulls fight each other to the death in what looks like a glimpse into a dog-fighting ring. But the director told Felsher it's really something a lot less terrifying, "It looks really savage and cruel and mean in the movie. But these dogs were the most playful dogs in the world, we just smeared them with jelly, they were just playing around they weren't doing anything wrong at all, in fact the footage itself is so laughably cute, we couldn't believe that anyone would buy this but, you add sinister music and some sound effects and cut it a certain way, and it looks like these dogs are killing each other."
Can't say for sure, of course, but overall I don't think there's a problem, because you're merely watching the videos and not hosting them. The vast majority isn't illegal anyway, but gross. If they can't enforce taking down the videos I doubt they can be bothered with people watching them, considering some have hundreds of thousands of views. But I have heard that NZ tried to keep the Christchurch shooter video under wraps, officially it's illegal there. So, that's something to keep in mind. Overall though I think it would be absurd going after the viewers, when they can't keep people from committing the incidents from the videos in the first place.

Ive spent an incredible amount of time on there. Used to be an entertaining passtime. Rarely gazed at the comments but never really saw anything wrong. Atleast not in my opinion.
