I keep having this idea that the way to escape Samsara is suicide. That's probably why karmic rebirth is desirable in the human realm because humans are most capable of overriding the survival instinct.

This idea feels like a good thought to have in mind when heading to the noose. Because it's hopeful in nature - I really do hope that the universe was set up in such a way that it takes realizing that this place is not where peace can be found and that those who get out can all find Nirvana afterword. I imagine a big club where I'll be able to hang with Hemingway, Cobain, Qu Yuan, Plath, Woolf, Turing, Spade, Bourdain, and all the other ones who found their peace by taking themselves there forcefully. That is my one last hope.

And Peep ;)

I'm not sure if I'd like the idea of an afterlife - I'd probably still be the same shitty, fearful and undesirable person.

I really doubt the universe is built around humans at all-it's a nice thought though.

Logically I doubt so too, but I still think this thought serves a good purpose to take to the noose. Personally, I feel much more confident going even still maintaining some hope that it means I'm EXITING like FOR GOOD. I don't want to come back as some other being or as myself in an after-life like 21Neberg said. I want to have no after life at all.

I'm a Buddhist btw, still a suicidal depressive, but I do live every moment thinking how I can escape Samsara. I really hope that suicide is it. I'm taking hope to the noose even after having lost all of it away from the noose.

I perfectly agree.

If one is sympathetic with buddhist doctrine without believing in rebirth, suicide is the closest thing to nirvana than one can find.

Your version of Nirvana is very weird though, you describe more some caricatural christian heaven than Nirvana, there is no sensation in Nirvana and no sense of self.
