I am very desperate and have no other way out. I cannot bear to go on for another day. I am thinking about calling the cops pretending to be in distress and running at the cops with a knife in the hopes of being shot and killed. I don't know what else to do. Also, I detest cops and would feel much more comfortable forcing a cop to kill me than jumping in front of a train or something and scarring and innocent train conductor. I'm just worried that the cops might NOT kill me, and I'll end up in jail instead. I know that suicide by cop has worked in the recent past, but idk... it seems very risky.

Suicide by cop success rate is low. Reason is because they're obviously supposed to shoot to disarm you, not to kill. If they do kill someone, it's mostly by accident. Don't do it. Not only is it risky for you getting permanent damage but you might also traumatise the cop.

This method is incredibly selfish. You're traumatizing multiple people, passersby & the officers involved. I'd say just go to a bridge/tall building and jump instead of this. I know you despise cops for some odd reason, but not all cops are bad & generalizing them all due to the actions of a few (Derek Chauvin, a cop that personally wronged you, etc) & then ruling that they deserve to be traumatized like this is, to say the least, incredibly selfish.

I do not like the idea of corcing another sentient being into carrying out your own suicidal ideation. If you intend to go after suicide by cop, you had best degrade yourself to the utmost base of instinctual psychotic drives, as honestly, the idea of taking, or potentially harming others, in your own attempt to end your own life is despicable. I do not agree with death by forcing others to do it, even cops...fuck da police!

That plan probably won't go as you see it, I'm sorry. Police are trained in many different ways besides a gun. You may get a nice officer who might taze you or think you are probably mentally ill. Either way it seems too risky and you will definitely end up in jail. Depending on the type of call will determine how many squad cars they will send and the area. I highly suggest rethinking this plan. Let's talk more of this because you don't want to end up with charges and have a cop live with the memories of killing you. I think suicide should not include others in our plans. Just trying to help, not being rude.

No. The police are very good at using a taser, beanbag shotgun round or just shooting you where you will not die. Then you have legal problems to go with whatever you have now.
As a bonus, you might get a hole someplace that really hurts.

Your best odds here would be to buy something akin to an airsoft gun that looks like the real thing. Call the cops on yourself pretending to be your neighbor, claiming shit like "i think i heard a gunshot from my neighbor's apartment". Wear a white shirt and pour something red on it to make it look like you're covered in blood. When they show up they'll be on edge, and the only way you can probably pull this off is by very quickly pulling out the fake gun and aiming at them so they have little time to react. Even then you run the risk of getting tasered. In this given scenario they have more interest in neutralizing a threat that seems to have already killed someone, not just disarm you and put you in cuffs.

Now, if you fail this, I'm not actually sure what the consequences would be. Because you don't actually have a real gun so there was no real threat. If you run at them with a knife, that's a real threat. And you didn't actually hurt anyone and the blood was fake. You'd probably get a short sentence into a really long sentence in the crazy house and a massive fine.

When a cop shoots you, at that point they're absolutely not trying to just disarm you. Cops are trained that, when they actually resort to using their firearm, they will mag dump their entire magazine into your center of mass. Since they come in pairs you can assume that you'll be leaded with like 20+ rounds.

at least in the US and Australia, a police officer discharging their firearm intends to kill. they are trained to aim for centre mass. they will never shoot to injure- if this happens it is by chance. none of this is to encourage the method though, cus as you said they are very likely to resort to a taser anyway.

I posted to this person to ask to have it deleted because I thought of that idea too, unfortunately it was deleted. Im all for freedom of speech but the repercussions seemed a lot. I digress, I don't want any problems and have enough of my own.
