Hello knowledgeable people,

Google has let me down - or more like, I don't have the concentration levels to figure it out and all the answers are blocked because, well you know why they're blocked. We don't want people killing themselves!! 🙄🙄

Anyway my question is this: do you lose weight faster by eating a small amount of protein or by not eating anything?

I've lost about 7kgs in the space of a week by not eating anything but obvs this is gonna slow down as it moves away from water loss and metabolism slows. Hence my question.

Can any of you geniuses shed any light? Thanks peeps

Most of my nutrition knowledge isn't informed about how to not eat, but from what I know if you eat small amounts of anything, your body is in starvation mode and will old on to whatever you give it for dear life. But my follow up question is why you're asking; if your physical circumstances are near normal and there is food around, you will likely lose this battle before too long. Other parts of you are gonna want to eat, and eating after extended periods of fasting or starvation can be quite rough. Likely leading to more suffering,

When I was slightly overweight, I changed my diet drastically. Cut the sugar, carbs. Ate less. More veggies. More fruit. Worked for me.

Not clear on the connection with you between suicide and weight loss, though. ??????? Are you trying to lose weight before you ctb?

The suffering is fine. I deserve it, I was curious as to which option made losing weight quicker. I think what you're saying is eating nothing would be better. Thanks.

Nah, I don't care what I look like when I ctb, I can't do it right now but don't deserve to live. I can't do my other forms of SH so I'll do this one instead. Thanks

Someone posted pictures of death by starvation... I have a new trauma... Too slow...

Veggies make you shit. So I'd eat that instead of a lot of proteins.

Vitamin c & magnesium makes you poop. And calms you.

Generally, look at the calories in you food. Carbs, protein and fat are our main sources of calories (roughly equivalent to energy), so if you wanted to starve, none of these would be your friend.

That said, I would strongly recomment at least a minimal amount of thiamine (vitamin B1), as lack of this does unpleasant things to your nervous system faster than most other deficiencies. You could take supplements for this purpose or, if you would like a cheaper option, a glass of apple juice per day should also do the trick. Bonus points for the apple juice for containing electrolytes and some sugar, which does not hinder your weight loss much, but preserves your sanity for a little while (biologically, anyways). Malnutrition does all kinds of unpleasant things that have nothing to do with lack of energy, and you want to fend these off for a long as possible.

Also, be aware that starving is really hard. People who die from anorexia generally die to infections, because the lack of energy crushed their immune system. This is not a peaceful death. I am sure you already know this, I just thought it really needed to be in my answer.

I do know this, but I do appreciate you saying it.

I don't have anorexia, more hunger strike than any anorexia symptoms. I'm not eating cos I don't want to - to hasten death not because I can't like anorexia suffers. I'm gonna stick with the eating nothing, I just wondered if eating some protein and thus increasing metabolism Would keep things moving along quickly. Thanks for your answers helpful friends 👍🏻

My two cents here. In Nazi Germany they would starve children,(yes they were German kids), with the t4 nursing homes. The kid were given sedatives and only given water until they expired. All because the all-knowing state had declared them to be unworthy on life. So yeah deliberately starving to death does work. But it's not for everyone.

If you don't drink or eat for 40 days you should be gone? Nothing at all. Otherwise you'll prolong agony.

Can't they just kill kids with an axe like proper psychos? Fast & painless. Free, unlike bullets. Or sedatives... It still counts as murder.

"protein reduces your level of the hunger hormone ghrelin. It also boosts the levels of peptide YY, a hormone that makes you feel full."

when I was into bodybuilding and in cutting mode I would cut out as many carbs as I could and just eat a heavy protein diet. it worked extremely well combined with working out and actually did make me feel fuller eatting less each meal.

ofc my ex did a different weight loss plan where she limited her total food intake to 500 calories per day. i wouldn't recommend this because she was miserable but she lost a lot of weight fast and didn't work out at all. she was pretty much starving all the time and angry a lot and didn't have much energy but her results were impressive :/.
